Architecture bouddhiste à Taiwan

Buddhist Architecture in Taiwan

After the language of flowers and New Year's day… come here time to familiarize us, through the nice cover below (thanks George!), with Buddhist architecture in Taiwan.
The post of Taiwan indeed issued on May 24, 2007 a series of 4 values (5 NT$ each) where appear some recent buildings representative of Buddhist architecture in the island. They are represented on white backgrounds, symbol of the immaculate purity of the Buddhist world.
The Taiwanese citizens have a freedom of religious worship but Buddhism is deeply anchored in the culture and the everyday life.

A 4th stamp was issued in the same series (cf above on the right) :

This enormous complex, mixes Chinese and Western styles, was built in 2001 by the same architect as that of the Taipei 101 tower, the highest skyscraper of the world !
