A tribute to Italy and Greenland

Too few postal administrations use real stamps on the letters sent to their customers...that beats evrything, no ??
This is the case of Italy and Greenland, that's why I wish to pay tribute to them through this post :-)
Unfortunately, this is not the case of France...
Below the nice letter from the Italian Post containing my last stamps order.
The top 2 stamps have 3 points in common : they were issued in 2007, they represent 2 bearded men, both born in 1507.
On the left, tribute to Ferrante I Gonzaga, who was born in 1507 and died in 1557. The stamp, issued on Jan. 27, 2007, commemorates the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Italian condottiere, a member of the noble Gonzaga House. He was one of the followers of Emperor Charles V of which he was one of the generals. He bought in 1539 the lordship of Guastalla on the banks of the Po river, in Emilia Romagna. It's his bronze statue, "Ferdinand I triumphing over envy", located in Guastalla, shown on the stamp.
On the right, tribute to Jacopo Barozzi (called Vignola), architect and theorist, born in 1507 in Vignola and died in 1573. His architectural style was clever but heavy, pompous and cold...
Behind his portrait, the stamp represents one of his major works : the Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola (Lazio), and more specifically the Scala Regia ("Royal Stairs"), its monumental stairs.
The last stamp is part of a set of 9 values, issued on February 8, 2006, devoted to the Winter Olympics in Turin. These stamps represent sports, curling on our stamp.
Also note the nice postmark, dated December 21, 2007, from the Rome Philatelic agency, representing the Castel Sant'Angelo.
Below the letter in which I received my last order of Greenlandic stamps :

The stamp was issued on January 15, 2007 and represents the Crown Prince couple of Denmark. Greenland, as the Faroe Islands, is indeed part of the Danish kingdom.
The Greenland post wanted to pay tribute to Prince Christian, born on October 15, 2005. He is pictured on the stamp between his parents, Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary, dressed in the traditional Greenlandic costume. The Danish royal family has always been very popular in the island.
Finally, still in connection with Greenland, I wanted to thank Eric, thanks to whom I received this letter mailed on November 8, 2007 from Tasiilaq, the city where is the Philatelic Service of Greenland.
Eric already sent me the FDC cover (November 8, 2007) of the French version of this common issue with Greenland, from the last Salon Philatélique d'Automne in Paris. I invite you to read this previous post to have more information about this issue.
Unlike France, Greenland has also issued these stamps in a nice souvenir sheet as part of the 5th series devoted to explorers.
Even if it is covered by the cancellation, this is well the Martin Mörck's signature, the engraver of this superb series, which appears on that cover !!
Thanks again Eric for this wonderful surprise :-)
