Villes de Tczew, Sieradz et Lubin en Pologne

Cities of Tczew, Sieradz and Lubin in Poland

Thank you very much Kazimierz for these three new FDC and covers below which reveal the three Polish cities of Tczew, Sieradz and Lubin under different angles :-)
The first FDC below is concerning the stamp, issued on May 27, 2010, commemorating the 750th anniversary of the founding of the city of Tczew, located in Pomerania (northern Poland). This city was thus the first one in Poland to adopt a municipal council.
But Tczew is mainly located on a strategic road and rail place, which explains its many bridges built across the Vistula River, including the Lisewski road bridge featured on the stamp below, built between 1851 and 1857. It was at that time one of the longest bridges in the world (837 meters). Only four towers (among the 10 originally built) still exist today...

Here is below the other side of this FDC with one stamp and its attached vignette, issued on November 16, 2009, devoted to the "Polish influence in Europe" theme.
This stamp is devoted to Jerzy Franciszek Kulczycki (1640-1694), a Polish merchant, diplomat and soldier, who became famous during the Battle of Vienna in 1683 against the Ottoman troops. According to legend, Kulczycki opened indeed the very first café in Vienna using coffee beans left by the Turks after their defeat...
If I'm not wrong, It seems that the attached vignette was printed with a coffee scent !
The postal administrations of Brazil (in 2001) and New Caledonia (in 2002) had already issued scented stamps of the same type...

The second FDC below, issued on June 24, 2010, commemorates the 750th anniversary of the founding of the Dominican monastery of the town of Sieradz, located not far the city of Łódź (center of Poland).

The third letter below, posted on June 25, 2010 in Tarnobrzeg, is franked with an impressive souvenir sheet issued on September 1, 2001 to announce the European Philatelic Exhibition "Euro-Cuprum 2001" held from 1 to 9 September 2001 in the city of Lubin (south-western Poland).
This numbered souvenir sheet was issued in 520,000 copies, 120,000 of which seeming to have been issued with perforations. This is an unperforated version of this sheet that is included below, with a view of the city of Lublin dating from 1733 (by Bernhard Werner) and an etching-needle used for intaglio engraving.
