Reunification and Oktoberfest in Germany

On October 3, 2010, Germany has celebrated the 20th anniversary (to the day) of the country's reunification.
After the events of 1989 and the fall of the Berlin Wall, the former communist German Democratic Republic was indeed officially reunified with the Federal Republic of Germany on October 3, 1990, after a unification treaty signed in Berlin on August 31, 1990.
Since 1990, the Germany's National Day, or German Unity Day ("Tag der Deutschen Einheit"), is thus celebrated every year on October 3 in the capital of the Land which presides over the Bundesrat (Bremen this year).

The Deutsche Post has of course commemorated this 20th anniversary of German unity by issuing, on September 9, 2010, a € 0.55 stamp evoking the celebrations taking place on October 3rd in front of the Reichstag, the seat of the Bundestag.
It's this same stamp that is included on the prepaid cover above.
Thank you very much Igor :-)

To note the impressive special cancellation of October 3, 2010, German Unity Day, issued in Berlin that became again the federal capital on October 3, 1990 in place of Bonn.
This postmark is featuring a map of Germany and the words "20 Jahre Deutsche Einheit" applied with the three different ink colors of the German flag (black, red and gold) !
The illustration on the left (City Hall) on this envelope is evoking the Bilateral (Germany/Poland) Stamp Exhibition, which took place from 24 to 26 September 2010 in the city of Frankfurt an der Oder, on the Oder river (Polish border).

On September 9, 2010, the Deutsche Post has also issued another stamp (€ 0.55) commemorating the 200th anniversary of Oktoberfest, the largest folk festival in the world, held annually since 1810 in Munich, Bavaria.
Nearly 6 million visitors during the 16 days of this festival, nearly 7 million liters of beer consumed, funfair, giant pretzels, sausages, traditional costumes (leather clothes for men, colorful aprons for women), blue and white colors of Bavaria are symbolized on this stamp designed by Michael Kunter.
This stamp is included on the nice cover above posted on October 31, 2010 from the 28th International Stamp Exhibition in Sindelfingen (Baden-Wurttemberg), located in south-western Germany. Thank you very much Franz :-)
Five different special cancellations were offered to the public during the three days of this Stamp Show, including the one above evoking the 25 years of the ICE (InterCity-Express), the German high-speed train.
To note the portrait of Franz featured on the fictitious stamp in the upper right (not canceled)...
