Le 14 février 2009, 10 nouveaux objets faisant partie des collections du département des musées de Malaisie ont été inscrits sur la liste du patrimoine national (173 objets au total).
La poste malaisienne a eu la bonne idée, afin de mieux les faire connaître auprès du grand public, d'émettre, le 11 avril 2011, une intéressante série de 10 timbres (2 bandes de 5 timbres se-tenant) représentant ces différents objets.
4 timbres faisant partie de cette série figurent sur l'enveloppe FDC officielle ci-dessous avec oblitération "1er jour" de Kuala Lumpur. Merci beaucoup Kkkhor :-)
On February 14, 2009, ten new artifacts from the collections of the Department of Museums Malaysia were registered on the National Heritage List (173 items in total).
The Malaysian Post had the very good idea, in order to know them better, to issue, on April 11, 2011, an interesting series of 10 stamps (2 strips of 5 se-tenant stamps) depicting these different artifacts.
Four stamps being part of this series are included on the nice official FDC below with FDC postmarks from Kuala Lumpur. Thank you very much Kkkhor :-)
Quel dommage qu'une fois de plus des timbres à date manuels aient été apposés (le même jour pourtant !) sur ces timbres lors du passage de la lettre au centre de tri du courrier (MPC) Shah Alam de Kuala Lumpur...Parmi ces 10 objets (bijoux, statues...), 4 anciennes monnaies en or font désormais partie du patrimoine national de Malaisie. Elles sont représentées sur les timbres ci-dessus.
Les 3 pièces de monnaies à gauche comportent chacune le nom du sultan (en jawi, l'alphabet arabe adapté pour écrire le malais) qui les a fait émettre : Zainal Abidin Shah II (règne de 1793 à 1808) sultan de Terengganu, Muzaffar Shah (règne de 1564 à 1570) sultan de Johor et Alau'uddin Riayat Shah (règne de 1527 à 1564) sultan de Johor.
L'autre côté de ces 3 pièces inclut la mention "Khalifatul Mukminin" en jawi, ce qu'on pourrait peut-être traduire par "Calife des fidèles ou des croyants" ?
La 4ème pièce à droite, représentant un cerf, a été émise au 16ème siècle. L'autre face mentionne "Malik al Adil" ("Roi des justes" ?) en jawi.
What a pity that once again some hand cancellations have been affixed (the same day !) on these stamps during the passage of the letter at the mail processing center (MPC) of Shah Alam, Kuala Lumpur...
Among these 10 artifacts (jewelry, statues...), four old gold coins are now part of the national heritage of Malaysia. They are featured on the stamps above.
The three coins to the left include each the name of the sultan (in Jawi, the Arabic alphabet adapted to write in Malay) who had issued them : Zainal Abidin Shah II (ruled from 1793 to 1808) Sultan of Terengganu, Muzaffar Shah (ruled from 1564 to 1570) Sultan of Johor and Alau'uddin Riayat Shah (ruled from 1527 to 1564) Sultan of Johor.
The other side of these three coins includes the words "Khalifatul Mukminin" in Jawi, what could possibly be translated as "Caliph of the faithful or of the believers" ?
The fourth coin to the right, featuring a deer, was used during the 16th century. On the reverse is inscripted "Malik al Adil" ("King of justice" ?) in Jawi.
