Following the traces of Karol Wojtyła in Poland...

Merci beaucoup Kazimierz :-)
With this new stamp, issued on September 22, 2011, the Polish Post continues its series entitled "Following the traces of Karol Wojtyła" started in 2010 with the stay of the future Pope John Paul II in Wadowice...
It is this stamp and its attached coupon that appears on the interesting official FDC issued by the Polish Post below with a FDC postmark from Gdów, the municipality to which the village of Niegowić (southern Poland), in the spotlight here, is part.
Thank you very much Kazimierz :-)

I really like the simplicity of this FDC cancellation including only the Catholic cross.
The stamp shows the church of the village of Niegowić where Karol Wojtyła was ordained a priest from July 1948 to August 1949 before being appointed to the Parish of St. Florian in Krakow.
It was during his stay in Niegowić that the future pope realized the development of Stalinism in Poland.
This stamp was issued (print run : 600,000) in a sheet of 5 stamps + 5 coupons. This coupon reproduces a photograph featuring Karol Wojtyła in the center in Niegowić (in 1948) in his vicar's suit.
The right margin depicts the bronze statue of Karol Wojtyła inaugurated in 1999 in front of the church of Niegowić. The other margin to the left suggests a small chapel where I guess he had to pray ?
