Stampex 2012 à Hong Kong - Enveloppe spéciale

Stampex 2012 in Hong Kong - Special Cover

A big thank you Hu Kun for this interesting special cover, mailed on March 17, 2012, issued on the occasion of the National Stamp Exhibition "Stampex 2012" held in Hong Kong from 2 to 4 March 2012 :-)
This stamp exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong Philatelic Society, commemorated the 150th anniversary of the issuance of the first specific stamp in Hong Kong (with the effigy of Queen Victoria), on December 8, 1862 exactly, replacing then British stamps.
This 150th anniversary is mentioned in the illustration to the left of the envelope and on the commemorative cachet at the center.

Hu Kun has used a stamp (50c) part of the nice definitive series (16 stamps from 10c to $ 50) issued on December 31, 2006, devoted to birds, Scarlet Minivet (Pericrocotus flammeus) here.
The other stamp ($ 2.50) is part of a set of six stamps, issued on December 6, 2011, devoted to pieces from the collections of different Museums in Hong Kong (Heritage Museum, Museum of History, Museum of Art, Museum of Chinese Medicine).
It's a reversible Palace costume (dating from which period ?), from the Heritage Museum, that appears on this stamp.
To note that the Hong Kong Post had already issued a series on the same theme in 2009 (Chinese painting and calligraphy).
Finally, to note the attractive postmark referring to the famous Tsing Ma Bridge (1,377 meters) connecting the islands of Tsing Yi and Ma Wan since 1997.
