Timbre EUROPA 2012 du Liechtenstein

EUROPA 2012 stamp from Liechtenstein

After Belarus, I'm happy to share with you this letter below, mailed on April 3, 2012 from Vaduz, franked with the EUROPA 2012 stamp issued on March 5th by the Principality of Liechtenstein. Thank you very much Vural :-)
As a reminder, the EUROPA theme chosen by PostEurop for 2012 is "Visit..." to encourage tourists to visit each member country.
To evoke this topic, the Post of Liechtenstein has appealed to students of the country's School of Fine Arts and it's Julia Kubik, from Buchs, Switzerland, who has won this contest.

On this stamp (CHF 1.40), Julia Kubik was inspired by a photograph by Ursula Schlegel (Triesenberg) featuring the traditional descent of the mountain pastures of cows (in Autumn), decorated with flowers and bells.
This stamp thus evokes the traditions of Liechtenstein but also its modernity as the herd crossed the little capital, Vaduz, in particular its business and government districts.
You can see on this stamp the building of the new parliament of the Principality (inaugurated in 2008), consisting of thousands of bricks.
