Textile traditionnel sur série indonésienne

I had already published a post on this blog, in early 2012, about this impressive set of 33 stamps (one for each province) issued in Indonesia in 2011, all devoted to traditional textile patterns used on batik, this printing fabrics technique practiced mainly on the island of Java.
As a reminder, this series was issued to announce the International Stamp Exhibition "Indonesia 2012" held in Jakarta from 18 to 24 June 2012.
The Indonesian batik, one of the main symbols of the country, is inscribed by UNESCO on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2009.
