Série EUROPA 2012 de Chypre du nord

EUROPA 2012 stamp set from Northern Cyprus

Merci beaucoup Tolga :-)
In a post published on this blog on April 21, 2012, I shared with you a cover franked with the EUROPA 2012 series (two stamps) issued on March 26, 2012 by the Dutch Post.
Entitled "Bezoek Amsterdam" ("Visit Amsterdam"), this series dedicated to the famous canals of the city, was also composed of two other domestic rate "1" stamps (without the logo EUROPA) also issued in sheet of 6 stamps (3 pairs of each).
These two se-tenant stamps appear on the letter below mailed on August 17, 2012 from Amsterdam. Thank you very much Toga :-)

The stamp above to the right shows the "Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ" ("Music Building on the IJ"), a modern concert hall opened in 2005 on the banks of the IJ river. Another concert hall mainly for jazz music, the Bimhuis, is partly integrated in this new building built next to a cruise ship's terminal (there is one on that stamp).
The other stamp is devoted to the Oosterdok river with the building of the former Arsenal ("'s Lands Zeemagazijn"), built in 1656, which houses the National Maritime Museum ("Het Scheepvaartmuseum") since 1973. A replica of the ship "Amsterdam" of the East India Company (VOC) is moored in front of this museum.

Tolga has been kind enough to join his letter the 2nd cover above that he received himself from Lefkoşa, the northern part of Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus since the island is divided in two parts (the Republic of Cyprus being located in the south of the island) following the intervention of the Turkish army in 1974.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is only recognized by Turkey and its postal administration is neither a member of the UPU nor the organization PostEurop...
The Northern Cyprus Post is however issuing for several years some EUROPA stamps like these two stamps above, issued on May 8, 2012, not bearing the official EUROPA logo.
Declining the theme "Visit...", this series introduces us, to the right, the castle (built in 16th century by the Venetians) of the port town of Kyrenia (Girne in Turkish) located on the northern coast of the island as well as the old town of Famagusta (Gazimağusa in Turkish), located on the eastern coast of the island, on the other stamp.
It's worth noting that all the mails from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus transit through the Turkish city of Mersin before being routed internationally.
