Série "Art" en Rép. Tchèque, la suite...

"Art" stamp series from Czech Rep., new part...

In a message posted on this blog on November 5, 2012, I mentioned the new stamp "Art" series issued on November 7, 2012 by the Czech Post.
As a reminder, a souvenir sheet (František Kupka) as well as two stamps were issued in this series. I was lucky enough to receive the other philatelic pieces below regarding these two stamps !

The stamp above (26 Kč) reproduces the work entitled "A long-haired girl" (1951, East Bohemian Gallery in Pardubice) by the Czech painter and illustrator Kamil Lhoták (1912-1990).
Thank you very much Bret for this official FDC with postmarks from Prague :-)
The engraving on this envelope to the left depicts a free composition from various drawings by Kamil Lhoták.

It is that same stamp (engraved by Miloš Ondráček) that appears on the postcard above mailed on the first day of issue from the city of Pardubice, where this painting is kept. Thank you very much Pavel :-)
Kamil Lhoták was one of the founding members of the Group 42 ("Skupina 42"), an artistic group, active between 1942 and 1948, which greatly influenced the literature and art in the country.

The other side of this postcard above is reproducing that same work of art painted in 1951.

Bret has also sent me the FDC above regarding the second stamp of this "Art" series (32 Kč).
This stamp (engraved by Martin Srb) is devoted to the work "Self Portrait with Family" (1719, Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest) by Slovak Baroque painter Jan Kupecký (1667-1740).
A Kupecký's self-portrait is reproduced to the left on this envelope. Jan Kupecký is known for his many portraits of royal families and aristocracy.

Bret has finally sent me the two philatelic First Day of Issue documents above and below, published by the Czech Post about these two stamps.
As a reminder, the words "Umělecká díla na známkách" are meaning "Works of Art on Postage Stamps".
