Christmas postmark and Postal Stationery from Czech Rep.

On November 29th 2012, the Czech Post has released a postal stationery (enveloppe) on the occasion of Christmas and New Year festivities.
I was lucky enough to receive this postal stationery below sent on the first day of issue by registered mail from Prague. Thank you very much Bret :-)
To note that, contrary to last year, the Czech Post has not chosen the design of the Christmas stamp issued this year on this postal stationery but a scene of the Nativity by Czech graphic artist Vladimír Suchánek (born 1933).

Vladimír Suchánek has designed many stamps for the Czech Post, particularly the definitive series devoted to zodiac signs or the stamp about the 1000th anniversary of the death of St. Adalbert in 1997 (joint issue with Hungary, Poland, Germany and the Vatican).
The Czech Post had also issued on November 15th 2000 a Christmas stamp with the same Suchánek's Nativity scene as the one on this postal stationery above...
To note that this stamp has however lost its postal rate (5 Kc) replaced by the words "Service des Postes" ("Postal Service") in French (UPU's official language) and Czech.

Here is above the pretty card attached to this letter, including an engraving of that same stamp.
To note the mention "PF 2013" on this card as well as on the postal stationery. As a reminder, these two initials "PF" are actually derived from French words "Pour Féliciter" ("To congratulate"), fallen into disuse in France while they were maintained in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
These two letters are today only used in written language and are abridged in "PF" followed by the year. This can mean either "Happy New Year" or "Best Wishes" !

I've already mentioned on this blog the Christmas stamp issued this year (on November 7th 2012) depicting a Christmas tree and various symbols of Christmas.
It is that stamp (permanent rate "A") that was used again in two copies on this interesting cover above, with also three coupons evoking a carp (a typical Christmas dish in the Czech Republic) and a Christmas ball.
Thank you very much Pavel for this special letter mailed on December 5th 2012 from Boží Dar, the highest town in Central Europe, located near Karlovy Vary in the northwest of the country (near the German border).
Boží Dar, which means "Gift of God", is well known for its Santa Claus ("Ježíšek") post office.

This post office of Boží Dar is issuing each year, from 1 to 23 December, a special postmark like the one included also on the postcard above. Thank you again Pavel :-)
This cancellation, designed by Marie Svobodová, is featuring this year the Child Jesus holding a dove with a shooting star to the right.
Pavel has franked this postcard with the Christmas stamp issued last year (on November 9th 2011) representing another Nativity scene by Dušan Kállay.

Boží Dar is also known in the country for being a major ski resort as well as for its two hiking trails entitled "Trail of the Child Jesus" ("Ježíškova cesta") mentioned on the other side of this postcard above.
