130 ans de services bancaires postaux en Rép. Tchèque

130 years of Postal Banking Services in Czech Rep.

The Imperial and Royal Postal Savings Office was created on January 12, 1883 as a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Commerce of the time, Felix von Pino-Friedenthal and the Chief of section Jiří Theodor Coch.
The aim was to use post offices as branches of this new postal savings office.
A postal savings bank was then created in 1918, an activity that was interrupted or renamed several times during the 20th century.

With the fall of communism in 1990, the founding act of the Postal savings bank was signed at a ceremony held in the premises of the Postal Museum in Prague.
On January 1, 1994, this savings bank merged with the Investment Bank.
To commemorate the 130th anniversary of the creation of these postal banking services, a stamp (20 CZK) was issued on June 26, 2013.
I was lucky to receive the official FDC above regarding that stamp with a postmark from Prague. Thank you very much Bret :-)
Designed by Adolf Born, this stamp features a postal stagecoach pulled by a strange half-plant half-horse creature...

Bret has also send me the sheetlet above about that stamp with the same FDC cancellation depicting two birds holding a letter in their beaks...
The engraving on the left on the FDC, designed by Bohumil Šneider, shows a postman on a horse blowing a horn, the universal postal symbol.
