Comme l'année passée, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation, le 15 novembre 2013, une enveloppe/entier postal à l'occasion des fêtes de Noël et de nouvelle année.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir l'exemplaire ci-dessous posté de Prague le 1er jour d'émission. Merci beaucoup Bret :-)
Cette année, la poste tchèque a choisi une oeuvre de l'illustrateur et écrivain tchèque Josef Lada (1887-1957) représentant une scène de la nativité, datant de 1942.
As it was the case last year, the Czech Post has released, on November 15, 2013, a new prepaid cover on the occasion of Christmas and New Year festivities.

This year, the Czech Post has chosen a work by the Czech illustrator and writer Josef Lada (1887-1957) depicting a scene of the Nativity, dating from 1942.
Josef Lada est surtout connu pour avoir réalisé les illustrations du roman "Le Brave Soldat Chvéïk" de Jaroslav Hašek. La poste tchèque avait émis une série de timbres en 1997 reproduisant certains de ces dessins.
A noter que ce timbre n'inclut aucune valeur faciale mais la mention "Service des Postes" en français (la langue officielle de l'UPU) et en tchèque.
Josef Lada is best known for having produced the illustrations of the novel "The Good Soldier Švejk" by Jaroslav Hašek. The Czech Post had issued a set of stamps in 1997 reproducing some of these drawings.
To note that this stamp does not include any nominal value but the words "Service des Postes" ("Postal Service") in French (the UPU's official language) and in Czech.

A noter la mention "PF 2014" sur cette carte ainsi que sur l'enveloppe. Pour rappel, ces 2 initiales "PF" sont en fait issues du français "Pour Féliciter", tombées en désuétude en France alors qu'elles ont été maintenues dans la bonne société tchèque et slovaque.
Elles ne s'utilisent qu'à l'écrit et s'abrègent en "PF" suivi de l'année qui commence. Cela peut signifier au choix "Bonne Année" ou "Meilleurs Voeux" !

To note the mention "PF 2014" on this card as well as on the envelope. As a reminder, these two initials "PF" are actually derived from French words "Pour Féliciter" ("To congratulate"), fallen into disuse in France while they were maintained in Czech Republic and Slovakia.
These two letters are today only used in written language and are abridged in "PF" followed by the year. This can mean either "Happy New Year" or "Best Wishes" !
