Année du cheval - FDC de Hong Kong

Year of the Horse - FDC from Hong Kong

Merci beaucoup Kun :-)
As it was the case in previous years, Hongkong Post has issued a large number of stamps to celebrate the new Year of the Horse : a set of 4 stamps ($ 13.30), a souvenir sheet ($ 10), a silk stamp sheetlet ($ 50, printed in France by Cartor Security Printing) and two "Heartwarming" panes each consisting of 12 stamps and 12 coupons !
Anyway, these new stamps designed once again by Kan Tai-keung, are rather successful and I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful FDC issued on January 11, 2014 below, regarding the series of 4 stamps. Thank you very much Kun :-)

The series above is reminding us that the different animals of the Chinese zodiac are frequently used as the theme for Chinese arts and crafts. This sign of the Horse is here declined in fabric and embroidery ($ 1.70), in wood-carving ($ 2.90), the element associated to the horse this year, in metal ($ 3.70) in a very contemporary style and in lacquer ($ 5.00).
China was the first country in the world to produce this type of lacquer, that is to say objects made of wood or other material and coated with lacquer.
It is worth noting the FDC postmark evoking the inscription "horse" in traditional Chinese.
