Marcophilex XXXVIII in Uzès - special "LISA"

After Ouistreham in 2013, the French town of Uzès (Gard) organized the 38th edition of Marcophilex, an international philatelic exhibition devoted to postal history and marcophily in general.
This exhibition was organized on 25 and 26 October 2014 by the "Union Marcophile Gardoise", the Uzès Philatelic Association and the Union Marcophile (an association founded in 1927 dedicated to postal history, postal marks and cancellations).
Marcophily is the term used for the study of postal marks applied on a letter by the delivering postal service.
This exhibition allowed the public to admire some collections around the postmarks declined in different ways : marks, cancellations, pictural cancellations on letters and postcards.
The organizers of this event wanted to celebrate the hyphen connecting the two cities of Nîmes and Uzès, historically linked with water, the "Pont du Gard".

The "Pont du Gard" (1st century AD) is indeed a Roman 3-levels aqueduct, built on the Gardon river, which allowed to carry water between these two cities of Nîmes and Uzès.
This exceptional site is on the World Heritage List of UNESCO since 1985.
It is that aqueduct that has been chosen to illustrate the special LISA (ATM stamp) issued during this exhibition Marcophilex XXXVIII.
It is that LISA ("LISA 2" type, print run : 30,000), designed by Joël Ibert (a member of the "Union Marcophile Gardoise"), which was used on the postcard above sent from Uzès. To note the Joël Ibert's signature under the LISA :-)
This LISA ("Priority Letter" rate, € 0.66) as well as the special postmark evoke this exhibition Marcophilex XXXVIII and the "Pont du Gard".
A big thank you to Laurent Albaret, re-elected President of the Union Marcophile at the General Assembly on October 26, 2014 for this very special card !

The other side of this card, published by the "Union Marcophile Gardoise", shows an illustration by Joseph Creac'h dating from 1995, depicting the building of the former postal office in Uzès.

A color version of that same postcard was also available during this exhibition.
Thank you very much Thomas for this maxicard above on which a personalized "Green letter 20g" stamp ("IDTimbre" type) was affixed as well as the special "Pont du Gard" postmark !
To note that the town of Uzès had already hosted the 20th edition of this exhibition Marcophilex in 1995.
