Actors of cinema and theater in Moldova

On January 17, 2015, the Post of Moldova has released its first prepaid cover of the year (L 1.75), dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of four actors of cinema and theater from Moldova : Chiril Ştirbu (1915-1997), Victor Gherlac (1915-2007), Arcadie Plăcintă (1915-1995) and Mefodie Apostolov (1915-2004).
These four actors marked the cultural scene of Moldova (at the time of USSR) by participating in the creation and development of the state drama theater "A. S. Pushkin" (today the National Theatre "Mihai Eminescu") in Chisinau, between the years 1950s and 1970s.

I was lucky to receive this cover above (print run : 10,000), designed by Oleg Cojocari, sent on the first day of issue, with a postmark (theater masks) from Chisinau. Thank you very much Serge :-)
Among these four actors, Victor Gherlac is probably the best known, as an actor, director and first director of the state drama theater "A. S. Pushkin" and then as a professor and head of the drama department at the Arts Institute "Gavriil Musicescu" in Chisinau.
The illustration on the left on this envelope features these four actors in some of their roles in the theater, in plays such as "Ovidiu", "Amintiri", "Preşedintele" and "Șase oameni îndrăgiți".

Serge used a second stamp on the other side of this envelope above, about which I have already spoken on this blog.
That stamp, issued on May 13, 2014, is devoted to the 200th anniversary of German settlement in Bessarabia.
