WWF "White stork" stamps from Bosnia

On May 5, 1998, the Post of Sarajevo (Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina) released a very nice set of four se-tenant stamps (design : Nedžad Čmajčanin, print run : 100,000) dedicated to the white stork (Ciconia ciconia).
To note that the four stamps of this set, printed in Switzerland by Courvoisier (which ceased operations in 2001), include each the WWF logo as well as the former emblem of the BH Posta (replaced in 2002).
A big thank you Miro for this very nice cover, sent on February 14, 2015 from Sarajevo, franked with this complete set :-)

The breeding range of this bird species occurs from Maghreb to Turkey, passing by South and Central Europe and the Balkans in particular.
The western population includes about 44,000 couples (70% in Spain) and has almost doubled in the past decade.
The eastern population includes 165,000 couples mainly living in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltic countries.
White Stork, by its large size, its predation of pests and because it nests near the man, had a significant impact in the culture, traditions and folklore of many European countries.

These four stamps were issued in the same pretty sheet with illustrated margins, composed of four horizontal strips (see above).
The postal administration of the Serbian Republic of Bosnia (Pošte Srpske) also issued in 2008 a stamp dedicated to the white stork.
