"Léo Ferré 1916-1993" stamp on FDC from France

Timbre "Léo Ferré 1916-1993" sur FDC de France

La poste française avait déjà rendu hommage au célèbre auteur, compositeur, interprète, pianiste et poète monégasque né français Léo Ferré (1916-1993) à travers un timbre émis en 2001 faisant partie d'une série (6 timbres) consacrée à des artistes français de la chanson.
Pour marquer le 100ème anniversaire de sa naissance, un 2ème timbre a été mis en circulation (vente Premier Jour) le 8 septembre 2016 à Paris (Carré d'Encre) ainsi qu'à La Courneuve (93), sans mention Premier Jour.
Un grand merci Joël pour ce pli Premier Jour concernant ce timbre (1,40€, tirage : 1000020), avec TAD de Paris (conception : C215) !
The French Post had already paid tribute to the famous French-born Monégasque author, composer, singer, pianist and poet Léo Ferré (1916-1993) through a stamp issued in 2001 as part of a series (6 stamps) dedicated to French song artists.
To mark the 100th anniversary of his birth, a second stamp was put into circulation (First Day of issue) on September 8, 2016 in Paris (Carré d'Encre) and La Courneuve (93).
A big thank you Joël for this first day cover regarding that stamp (€ 1.40, print run : 1,000,020), with postmarks from Paris (design : C215) !


Christian Guémy, alias C215, est un artiste urbain né en 1973, pratiquant le graffiti pochoir et aujourd'hui une des grandes figures du street art en France.
Ce timbre reproduit un portrait de Léo Ferré conçu par C215 (qui se qualifie de portraitiste de rue temporaire) sur une porte de transformateur EDF situé à Ivry-sur-Seine (sud-est de Paris).
Une oeuvre de C215 (danseurs de hip-hop) avait déjà été reproduite sur le bloc-feuillet "Fête du Timbre" émis en 2014.
A noter la signature de Christian Guémy sur cette enveloppe ainsi que que cette marque rouge "C215" !
Léo Ferré, un des plus grands artistes de la chanson française (quarantaine d'albums en 46 ans de carrière), est également à l'honneur sur un timbre émis le 24 août 2016 à Monaco.
Christian Guémy, alias C215, is an urban artist born in 1973, practicing graffiti (with  stencil) and today one of the great Street Art artists in France.
That stamp features a portrait of Léo Ferré created by C215 (who considered him self as a temporary street portraitist) on the gate of an electricity transfomer located in Ivry-sur-Seine (southeast of Paris).
A work of C215 (hip-hop dancers) had already been reproduced on the miniature sheet "Fête du Timbre" issued in 2014.
To note the autograph of Christian Guémy on this envelope as well as this "C215" red inkmark !
Léo Ferré, one of the greatest artists of the French song (forty albums in 46 years of career), is also featured on a stamp issued on August 24, 2016 in Monaco.
