"Rio 2016 Olympics" stamp on cover from Croatia

Timbre "Jeux olympiques de Rio 2016" sur lettre de Croatie

Pour sa 7ème participation à des jeux olympiques d'été depuis son indépendance en 1992, la Croatie a connu son meilleur résultat lors de cette 31ème olympiade à Rio de Janeiro 2016 avec un total de 10 médailles (dont 5 en or) et une 17ème place au classement des médailles !
Bravo à Josip Glasnović (tir), Martin et Valent Sinković (aviron), Šime Fantela et Igor Marenić (voile), Sara Kolak (lancer du javelot), et Sandra Perković (lancer du disque) pour ces 5 médailles d'or.
La délégation croate à ces jeux de Rio était composée de 87 athlètes (68 hommes, 19 femmes) engagés dans 18 sports différents.
For its 7th participation in summer Olympic games since its independence in 1992, Croatia achieved its best result at this 31th Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro 2016 with a total of 10 medals (including 5 gold) and a 17th place in the overall medal table !
Congratulations to Josip Glasnović (shooting), Martin and Valent Sinković (rowing), Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić (sailing), Sara Kolak (javelin throw) and Sandra Perković (discus throw) for these five gold medals.
The Croatian delegation at these games in Rio was composed of 87 athletes (68 men, 19 women) engaged in 18 different sports.


Le 3 août 2016, la poste croate avait mis en circulation un timbre spécial (4,60 HRK, tirage : 150000), conçu par Dean Roksandić, graphiste et designer à Zagreb, consacré à ces jeux olympiques de Rio 2016.
2 exemplaires de ce timbre ont été utilisés pour affranchir la jolie lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 8 septembre 2016 de Rijeka. Merci beaucoup Dragan !
Ce timbre, incluant l'emblème du comité olympique croate ("Hrvatski olimpijski odbor"), représente une allégorie de la victoire avec ces athlètes levant les bras, aux couleurs du drapeau brésilien en particulier (vert, jaune, bleu).
On August 3, 2016, the Croatian Post had issued a special stamp (4.60 HRK, print run : 150,000), designed by Dean Roksandić, graphic designer in Zagreb, dedicated to these Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Two copies of that stamp were used to frank the beautiful cover above sent on September 8, 2016 from Rijeka. Thank you very much Dragan !
That stamp, including the emblem of the Croatian Olympic Committee ("Hrvatski olimpijski odbor"), is featuring an allegory of the victory with these athletes raising arms, bearing the colors of the Brazilian flag in particular (green, yellow, blue).


Les 2 timbres sur cette lettre ont été extraits du feuillet ci-dessus (2 timbres en haut à droite) composé de 9 timbres et d'une vignette.
A noter enfin que la poste croate a émis un timbre pour chaque édition des jeux olympiques d'été et d'hiver depuis les jeux de Barcelone en 1992.
The two stamps on this letter were extracted from the sheetlet above (two top right's stamps) composed of 9 stamps and one label.
Finally, to note that Croatian Post issued a stamp for each edition of the Summer and Winter Olympic Games since Barcelona in 1992.
