"25th Anniversary of the Independence" m/s on cover from Kyrgyzstan (KEP)

On August 31, 1991 the local Supreme Soviet declared the independence of the country (following the breakup of USSR and the failure of the coup in Moscow) under the name "Republic of Kyrgyzstan", changed by "Kyrgyz Republic" from May 1993.
On December 21, 1991, Kyrgyzstan officially entered the new Commonwealth of Independent States and its independence was officially recognized on December 25, 1991 (the country became a member of the United Nations on March 2, 1992).
Following the establishment of this sovereign state, its symbols were adopted : a constitution (on May 5, 1993), a flag (on March 3, 1992), coat of arms (on January 14, 1994), a national anthem (on December 18, 1992) and a new currency, the som (on May 3, 1993).

On August 30, 2016 the "Kyrgyz Express Post" (KEP), the second designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, has released a special souvenir sheet (one stamp - 150 soms) celebrating the 25th anniversary of this Declaration of Independence.
This souvenir sheet (design : Vitaliu Pogolşa, print run : 7,000) was used to frank the nice cover above sent from Bishkek on September 23, 2016. Many thanks Iana !
The stamp of this sheet depicts the national flag (a sun with a stylized representation of the roof of the traditional Kyrgyz yurt, on a red background) and a gyrfalcon (Falco rusticolus), the sacred bird "Ak-shumkar", the devoted companion of Manas, the iconic hero from the Kyrgyz epic.
The same gyrfalcon is stylized on the coat of arms of the country (top left margin), also including the Tian Shan mountains, Lake Issyk Kul, a sun and ears of wheat and cotton, also with a view of the building of the parliament called "Jogorku Kengesh" (Supreme Council).

Like the KEP, the incumbent operator in the country, the Kyrgyz Post, has also celebrated this 25th anniversary by issuing on July 23, 2016, the souvenir sheet above with a stamp featuring the Statue of Manas located on the main square (Ala-Too) of Bishkek, in front of the State Historical Museum.
The flag and the coat of arms are also present on this souvenir sheet, with the Tian Shan mountains in the background.
