Joint stamp with Vatican City and Rio 2016 Olympics on cover from Luxembourg

On May 10, 2016, the Luxembourg Post issued a stamp dedicated to the 31st Summer Olympiad, held from 5 to 21 August 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
That stamp (€ 0.70), printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, represents the new logo (designed by the advertising agency "Moskito Productions SA") associated with the new brand "Team Lëtzebuerg" ("Team Luxembourg" in Luxemburgish) launched by the Olympic and Sports Committee of Luxembourg (COSL) on the occasion of these Rio 2016 Olympic games.
Reflecting the passion for sports as well as a new team spirit, this logo consists of three distinctive elements with the red lion (on the coat of arms of the country, printed with embossing on that stamp), the signature "Team Lëtzebuerg" and the five Olympic rings.

That stamp was used to the right on the cover above sent on November 9, 2016 from the city of Luxembourg.
In Rio, the Luxembourg delegation was composed of 10 athletes engaged in 5 sports (athletics, tennis, swimming, cycling and table tennis) but did not win any medal.
Since 1912 and its first participation in the summer Olympics, the Luxembourg team won only two medals : one gold in 1952 in Helsinki (Josy Barthel, men's 1500 meters) and a silver medal in 1920 in Antwerp (Joseph Alzin in weightlifting).
Josy Barthel will be honored on a stamp issued in 2017 on the occasion of the 25 years of his death.
To note the special cachet on the bottom left on this envelope, issued by the Post Philately Luxembourg during the last "Salon Philatélique d'Automne" in Paris, evoking the French actor Fernandel (1903-1971). Another French actor, Louis de Funès, was honored on a similar cachet in 2014.

The other stamp (€ 0.70) used on this letter, also printed in France by Phil@poste in the sheetlet of 4 stamps above, is a joint stamp issued on September 13, 2016 with the Post of the Vatican City, dedicated to the 350 years since the Virgin Mary "Consoler of the Afflicted" was elected patroness of the city of Luxembourg.
Since 1666, a strong bond between Mary and the Luxembourg people is expressed during the Octave, the annual pilgrimage.
That stamp, created by Daniela Longo and engraved by Elsa Catelin, depicts the polychrome lime wood statue of the Virgin Mary (73 cm high, late 16th century) preserved in the Notre Dame Cathedral of Luxembourg (the altar is featured in the central margin of this sheetlet).
This same cathedral, viewed from the Adolphe bridge, as well as Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City, are also depicted on that stamp.
