EUROPA 2017 (Castles) stamp on cover from Slovakia

On May 5, 2017, the Slovak Post issued its EUROPA stamp dedicated to Lietava Castle, located in the north of the country, in the Súľov mountains.
That stamp (€ 0.90), designed by Marián Čapka, was printed in Prague in sheet of 8 gummed stamps (print run : 200,000) as well as in a booklet (print run : 15,000 booklets) composed of 6 self-adhesive stamps.
The self-adhesive version of that stamp was used to frank the letter below sent on May 13, 2017 from the town of Rožňava, located in the south-east of the country. Thank you very much Miloš!
The first written mention of this castle of Lietava dates from 1318 although its construction probably dates from the 13th century.

It belonged to Máté Csák of Trenčín, a nobleman of the Hungarian kingdom, in the 14th century before being owned by the Hungarian noble Thurzó family in the 16th century when it was rebuilt and fortified, with its own military garrison.
After many disputes of members of this family, Lietava was attached to the neighboring estate of Orava in the 17th century.
The castle, considered as "unconquerable" in the Middle Ages, was abandoned in the middle of the 18th century and its ruins remain today one of the most visited sites of Slovakia.
Miloš has also used two identical stamps (€ 0.05) being part of the first definitive series of the country "Pre-Romanesque and Romanesque Cultural Heritage of Slovakia" denominated in euros, issued on January 2, 2009, dedicated to the Catholic St. Margaret of Antioch's rotunda in Šivetice (south-east of the country), built in brick in the 13th century.
