Brazil-Germany joint stamp issue : 500 Years of Lutheran Reformation

On April 13, 2017, the postal administrations of Germany and Brazil put into circulation a joint stamp dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
As a reminder, 2017 marks the 500 years of the publication of the 95 theses that, according to the tradition, Martin Luther (1483-1546) posted on the door of the All Saints' Church in Wittenberg, triggering then the beginning of the Protestant Reformation in Germany.
Designed by Antonia Graschberger, that stamp is inspired by the famous portrait of Martin Luther (1529) by Lucas Cranach the Elder, the official logo of this jubilee.

After the German version of that stamp, I'm happy to mention this time this Brazilian stamp (R$ 4.15, print run : 500,000) used on the letter above sent on June 8, 2017 from São Paulo. Thank you very much Marcelo!
To note also the presence of the FDC cancellation from Brasília, representing the Luther Rose (appeared in 1519 as seal on some Luther's writings), the symbol today of the Lutheran Christians.
The preview sale of that stamp also took place in 5 other Brazilian cities (Cuiabá, Curitiba, Marechal Cândido Rondon, Porto Alegre and Porto Velho).
That stamp mentions (on the left) the first sentence of the prologue of the Gospel according to John, "No princípio era a palavra" ("In the beginning was the Word").
Protestantism is today the second religion of Brazil (the first Protestants arrived in the country in 1811), represented mainly by the Evangelical Churches, with more than 50 million worshippers.
