Malaysian achievements on New Millennium's miniature sheets

On February 20, 2000, the Malaysian Post had put into circulation the 3rd part of a series devoted to the passage to the new millennium, with in particular two miniature sheets about Malaysian achievements between 1997 and 1999.
These two miniature sheets were used to frank this letter sent on June 20, 2017 from Selangor. Thank you very much Khor!
The sheet on the right (50 sen) is dedicated to skipper Azhar Mansor (born 1959), who was the first Malaysian to do a solo round-the-world tour (he arrived on August 11, 1999 after more than 190 days), aboard its ship Jalur Gemilang ("Stripes of Glory"), in reference to the Malaysian flag.

During his round the world tour, Azhar Mansor encountered a breakdown by breaking his mast off the Falkland Islands where he stayed for a month. He was able to leave on May 26, 1999 after a new mast was sent to him on board a Royal Malaysian Air Force (Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia - TUDM) aircraft, then the first Malaysian military aircraft to fly round the world (what this TUDM plane is recalling in the margin of this sheet).
The other miniature sheet is composed of three stamps (50 sen each), referring respectively to M. Magendran and N. Mohanadas, the first Malaysians having reached the summit of Mount Everest on May 23, 1997, the two brothers, Justin and Gerald Read, the first Malaysians reaching the North Pole on April 19, 1999 and the parachuting of a Malaysian Proton car in the Arctic region on April 21, 1998 (anecdotally, the car did not start because of the cold weather...).
