10th Anniversary of Chişinău / Iaşi Twinning - special postmark from Moldova

On January 24, 2018, the Post of Moldova issued a special cancellation devoted to the 10th anniversary of the twinning ("10 ani de înfrățire") between the cities of Chişinău, capital of the country, and Iaşi, the 4th largest city in Romania.
Iaşi was the capital of the Principality of Moldavia between 1564 and 1859, then one of the two capitals of the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia between 1859 and 1862, and was even the capital of Romania between 1916 and 1918.
We can thus understand these historical links between the two cities, Iaşi being located in the east of Romania, not far from the Moldovan border.

It is this postmark, designed by Maria Maximenco, featuring the coats of arms of the two cities, which has been applied on this illustrated envelope above sent from Chişinău (MD-2012). Thank you very much Nicolae!
To note that stamp (L 1.75), issued on December 20, 2013 in sheet of 8 stamps, and its customizable label dedicated to this twinning, representing the city halls of Chişinău and Iaşi.
That stamp represents a traditional ornament "Tree of Life" ("Pomul vieții") often represented in Moldovan craftsmanship, having inspired the new touristic brand of the Republic of Moldova.
The other stamp above (L 5.00) is part of a series dedicated to emblems of Moldovan cities (issued on March 7, 2015), Chişinău here.
The envelope used here (print run: 5,000), issued on January 2, 2016, is dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the founding of Chişinău with on the left, an illustration showing old photos of iconic city's landmarks : the same City Hall (c. 1900), Nativity Cathedral, Triomphal Arch, Ştefan cel Mare monument.

Nicolae has used two other stamps on the back of this envelope above including one (L 1.00) belonging to the same series dedicated to emblems of Moldovan cities, Ungheni here.
The other stamp (L 1.75) was issued on October 21, 2015 to pay tribute to actor Mihai Volontir (1934-2015), who died on September 15, 2015 at the age of 81.
The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union adopted on May 17, 2017 the decision proclaiming 2018, European Year of Cultural Heritage ("Anul european al patrimoniului cultural").
This European year is also celebrated outside the EU, what the postmark above to the left, put into circulation by the Post of Moldova from 2 January to 31 December 2018, reminds us.
This cancellation from Chişinău (MD-2012), designed by Lilian Iaţco, features in particular one of the female national costume elements, the traditional blouse called "ie", a Mărţişor (symbol of Spring) and a pottery.
