On January 1, 1993, the Czech Republic officially became a new independent state (idem for the Slovak Republic) following the peaceful partition of Czechoslovakia.
On January 3, 2018, the Czech Post put into circulation an interesting miniature sheet, consisting of two identical stamps (24 CZK), dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Czech Republic ("25. výročí vzniku České republiky").
Designed by Jan Maget, this miniature sheet was used to frank this great letter sent by registered mail from Prague on the first day of issue. Thank you very much Bret!
That stamp evokes the different coats of arms of the historical regions that today make up the Czech Republic, Bohemia (western part of the country), Moravia (eastern part of the country) and Silesia (north-east of the country).

That stamp also features the colors (white, red, blue) of the Czech national flag.
The central margin of this miniature sheet is interesting because it reproduces the oldest representations of the coat of arms of Bohemia (silver lion on a red background), Moravia (checkered red and white Eagle on a blue background) and Silesia (black eagle on a yellow background).
These arms are part of 13th century frescoes located in the Gozzoburg Castle in Krems an der Donau (Lower Austria).
The other 3 stamps above (domestic tariff 'A' up to 50g, 19 CZK currently), issued on June 6, 2012, are dedicated to St. Wenceslas I of Bohemia (born circa 907, died 929 or 935) considered as the patron saint of the country and the symbol of Czech statehood.
That stamp depicts the bronze equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas (by sculptor Josef Václav Myslbek) inaugurated in Prague in 1912 on Wenceslas Square.

Bret was kind enough to send me also the official FDC above (print run: 3,600) regarding the stamp of this miniature sheet.
We find this double-tail Bohemian lion with national colors, on the illustration to the left on this envelope, the First Day cancellation from Prague evoking the Czech national flag, composed from the years 1993 and 2018.
