La ville allemande de Bad Salzuflen (Land de Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie) célèbre cette année le 200ème anniversaire de la création de cette station thermale située au pied des montagnes de la forêt de Teutberg.
Bad Salzuflen est une vieille ville avec de nombreux bâtiments historiques dans le centre mais reste connue pour son eau salée et ses 3 sources thermales.
Le 14 juillet 2018, un TAD spécial a été mis en circulation à Bad Salzuflen (D-32105) concernant les 200 ans de la création de ces "bains de sol" ("Solbades") par le médecin Heinrich Hasse (1791-1868), né dans cette même ville.
Cette année marque également le 150ème anniversaire de la mort de Heinrich Hasse.
The German city of Bad Salzuflen (North Rhine-Westphalia) is celebrating this year the 200th anniversary of the creation of this spa, located at the foot of the Teutoburg Forest mountains.
Bad Salzuflen is an old town with many historic buildings in the center but remains known for its salt water and its 3 thermal springs.
On July 14, 2018, a special postmark was issued in Bad Salzuflen (D-32105) concerning the 200 years of the creation of these "baths" ("Solbades") by the doctor Heinrich Hasse (1791-1868), born in this same city.
This year also marks the 150th anniversary of Heinrich Hasse's death.
Ce TAD, incluant un portrait de Heinrich Hasse, a été appliqué sur la jolie lettre illustrée ci-dessus, affranchie avec le timbre (0,90€, conception : Annette le Fort et André Heers) émis le 7 juin 2018 pour commémorer le 1000ème anniversaire de la consécration de la cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Worms (Wormser Dom), ville située dans le Land de Rhénanie-Palatinat. En juillet 1817, Heinrich Hasse déposa une demande pour l'établissement d'un bain public auprès du responsable des salines princières de Bad Salzuflen, ce qui fut partiellement accepté en 1818 (création de 5 bains mais pas de bain public). Un bain de sol a été créé la même année, sous la surveillance médicale de Hasse, marquant les débuts de cette station thermale.

This building is considered one of the most remarkable Romanesque churches in the Rhine Valley.
In July 1817, Heinrich Hasse applied for a public bath to the head of the princely saltworks of Bad Salzuflen, which was partially accepted in 1818 (creation of 5 baths but no public bath). A "soil bath" was created the same year, under the medical supervision of Hasse, marking the beginnings of this saltwater spa.
