Archimandrite Dionisie Erhan 150th Birth Anniversary - prepaid envelope from Moldova

On October 25, 2018, during his working session, the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church elevated to the rank of Saint, the bishop Dionisie Erhan (1868-1943), an ecclesiastical personality who marked the history of Bessarabia and Moldova in the 1st half of the 20th century.
Dionisie Erhan was in particular Archimandrite of the monastery of Suruceni for 26 years (from 1908 to 1934) before being named bishop of Cetatea Albă and Izmail (two sites located today in the Ukrainian region of Budjak, between the south of Moldova and the Black Sea) in 1932 and bishop of Argeş (city located in Romania today) in 1940.
On November 2, 2018, the Post of Moldova issued its 10th prepaid envelope of the year (domestic tariff - L 1.75), dedicated to the 150th anniversary (day to day) of the birth of Archimandrite Dionisie Erhan.

Thank you very much Nicolae for sending this nice envelope (design: Oleg Cojocari, print run: 10,000, selling price: L 3.00) with First Day cancellation from Suruceni (MD-6827, district of Ialoveni), where this monastery dear to Dionisie Erhan is located, 25 km southwest of Chişinău.
The church of this monastery of Suruceni, dedicated to St. George, is illustrated on the left on this envelope. This Orthodox monastery, founded in 1785, suffered the same terrible fate as most other Moldovan religious sites in the Soviet era when they were desecrated, destroyed, turned into psychiatric hospitals or prison camps.
This monastery, attacked in 1955 during a mass, was transformed into a monitored hospital in 1959, its bells destroyed, its church and its cemetery profaned (it became again a religious site only in 1992).

Nicolae has completed his postage to reach the current rate for a priority shipment up to 20g to France (L 11 currently) with 3 other stamps on the back of his envelope above.
The stamp on the left (L 1.00) is part of the first Moldovan definitive series (5 stamps) issued on May 24, 1992, representing the country's coat of arms. These stamps, denominated in rubles at the time, were put back into circulation as of February 1, 2006, denominated in lei.
The 2.50 rubles stamp (value of L 2.50 from February 1, 2006) is part of a series of four stamps (design: Pál Varga), issued on July 20, 1992, depicting the same supersonic aircraft, with different colors.
The souvenir sheet (L 5.75) was issued on August 28, 2013 and dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the poet, writer, activist, professor and theologian Alexei Mateevici (1888-1917), considered, despite its short existence (he died at 29), as one of the greatest poets of Bessarabia.
He is best known for his romantic poem "Limba noastră" ("Our Language") written one month before his death, of which 5 of the 12 stanzas were chosen to become the national anthem of Moldova in 1994 (music composed by Alexandru Cristea).
