La poste italienne émet chaque année au moins un timbre ayant pour thème le football, en honorant l'équipe ayant remporté le championnat d'Italie (Calcio).
L'année 2018 est exceptionnelle puisque après un timbre émis le 19 juillet (120 ans de la Fédération italienne de football), 2 autre timbres ont été mis en circulation le 12 novembre, consacrés respectivement au 50ème anniversaire de l'association italienne des joueurs/joueuses de football et au 60ème anniversaire du Centre technique fédéral de Coverciano.

Paolo a complété son affranchissement avec un timbre (0,23€) émis le 2 janvier 2002, faisant partie de la série courante "la femme dans l'art", un portrait de femme ("Banquet d'Hérode") par Filippo Lippi ici, afin d'atteindre le tarif "Posta Priority Internazionale" (3,50€ pour un envoi en Europe jusqu'à 50g).
The Italian Post issues at least one football-themed stamp each year, honoring the team that won the Italian Championship (Calcio).
The year 2018 is exceptional since after a stamp issued on July 19th (120 years of the Italian Football Federation), two other stamps were put into circulation on November 12, devoted respectively to the 50th anniversary of the Italian Footballers' Association and the 60th anniversary of the Federal Technical Center of Coverciano.

Le timbre (tirage : 500000), conçu par Giustina Milite, représente une statue de footballeur (par le sculpteur Mario Moschi (1896-1971)) située à l'entrée de ce centre, avec le logo de la Fédération italienne de football en haut à droite.
L'autre timbre (tirage : 500000, conception : Isabella Castellana), en 2 exemplaires ci-dessus, est consacré à l'association italienne des joueurs/joueuses de football ("Associazione Italiana Calciatori"), créée le 3 juillet 1968 par un groupe de joueurs (dont Bulgarelli, Mazzola, Rivera, Castano, De Sisti, Losi, Mupo, Sereni, Corelli et Sergio Campana). Cette association (16000 membres) protège les intérêts moraux des joueurs professionnels, les intérêts économiques d'équipes professionnelles (Séries A, B, C) et, depuis 2000, aussi les intérêts des joueurs amateurs (football féminin en particulier).
The Federal Technical Center of the Italian Football Federation was inaugurated in 1958 in Coverciano near Florence to host the national team rallies (men, women, U21 ...), a kind of Italian Clairefontaine.
