Comme de nombreuses administrations postales (Algérie, Burkina Faso, République Centrafricaine, Djibouti, Gambie, Kenya, Liberia, Libye, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo, Tunisie, Afrique du Sud, Irlande, Monaco, Inde, Allemagne, Nations Unies...), la poste brésilienne Correios a également mis en circulation en 2018 (le 10 décembre) un timbre consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la naissance de "Madiba", Nelson Mandela (1918-2013), probablement la figure politique la plus marquante du siècle dernier dans le monde, combattant de la liberté, réconciliateur et modèle pour plusieurs générations de sud-africains.
Ce timbre (2,35R$, tirage : 360000) figure sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessous, avec TAD de Brasilia, envoyé le 23 mai 2019 depuis São Paulo (SPM = São Paulo Metropolitan). Merci beaucoup Marcelo !
Like many postal administrations (Algeria, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Gambia, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo, Tunisia, South Africa, Ireland, Monaco, India, Germany, United Nations ... ), the Brazilian Post Correios has also put into circulation in 2018 (on December 10) a stamp dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of "Madiba", Nelson Mandela (1918-2013), probably the most prominent political figure of the last century in the world, freedom fighter, reconciler and model for several generations of South Africans.
That stamp (R$ 2.35, print run: 360,000) is present on the First Day cover below, with postmarks from Brasilia, sent on May 23, 2019 from São Paulo (SPM = São Paulo Metropolitan). Thank you very much Marcelo!
