"National Library's 190th anniversary" postmark on prepaid enveloppe from Moldova

TAD "190 ans de la bibliothèque nationale" sur enveloppe pré-timbrée de Moldavie

Le 22 août 2022, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un TAD spécial consacré au 190ème anniversaire de la création de la Bibliothèque nationale de la République de Moldavie ("Biblioteca Naţională a Republicii Moldova" - BNRM).
Ce TAD, conçu par Eugeniu Verebceanu, a été appliqué par le bureau principal de Chişinău (MD-2012) sur cette enveloppe pré-timbrée (0,40 L, tirage inconnu), mise en circulation le 22 août 2002 à l'occasion du 170ème anniversaire de cette même bibliothèque nationale. Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Le timbre pré-imprimé représente la façade de l'édifice actuel de cette bibliothèque nationale, inauguré en 1961 lors d'une cérémonie qui fut l'un des plus grands événements de l'histoire d'après-guerre de la Moldavie.
Devant cet édifice, une statue de Vasile Alecsandri (1821-1890), l'une des grandes figures de la renaissance culturelle roumaine. Poète, dramaturge, folkloriste, diplomate et homme politique, il est considéré comme le créateur du théâtre et de la littérature en Roumanie.
On August 22, 2022, the Post of Moldova put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the establishment of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova ("Biblioteca Naţională a Republicii Moldova" - BNRM).
This postmark, designed by Eugeniu Verebceanu, was applied by the main post office in Chişinău (MD-2012) on this prepaid envelope (0.40 L, unknown print run), put into circulation on August 22, 2002 on the occasion of 170th anniversary of this same National Library. Thank you very much Nicolae!
The pre-printed stamp depicts the facade of the current building of this national library, inaugurated in 1961 during a ceremony that was one of the greatest events in the post-war history of Moldova.
In front of this building, a statue of Vasile Alecsandri (1821-1890), one of the great figures of the Romanian cultural renaissance. Poet, playwright, folklorist, diplomat and politician, he is considered the creator of theater and literature in Romania.

 

La bibliothèque publique de Chişinău a été créée de jure en 1830, par un accord de provision du ministère de l'intérieur de Russie. Son inauguration a eu lieu en août 1832, alors que A. I. Sarokumski était gouverneur (je suppose que l'illustration sur cette enveloppe représente le 1er bâtiment ayant abrité cette bibliothèque...).
Cette institution est aujourd'hui la principale bibliothèque du pays qui est responsable de la conservation, de la valorisation et de la protection du patrimoine culturel écrit. La Bibliothèque nationale fonctionne selon les principes directeurs de l'UNESCO se référant à ce type de bibliothèques, elle fait partie de la Bibliothèque numérique européenne.
Nicolae a utilisé un autre timbre sur l'enveloppe ci-dessus (10 roubles puis 10 L à partir du 1er janvier 2019) faisant partie d'une série (2 timbres, conception : Pál Varga) émise le 26 décembre 1992, consacrée à l'adhésion de la République de Moldavie à l'UPU (Union Postale Universelle).

Chişinău Public Library was established de jure in 1830, by a provision agreement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Its inauguration took place in August 1832, when A. I. Sarokumski was governor (I suppose that the illustration on this envelope represents the 1st building having housed this library...).

This institution is today the main library of the country which is responsible for the conservation, enhancement and protection of the written cultural heritage. The National Library operates according to the guiding principles of UNESCO referring to this type of libraries, it is part of the European Digital Library.
Nicolae used another stamp on the envelope above (10 rubles then 10 L from January 1, 2019) part of a series (2 stamps, design: Pál Varga ) issued on December 26, 1992, devoted to the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the UPU (Universal Postal Union).
