Un court message ce soir pour vous présenter cette lettre un peu particulière reçue du Brésil...
Merci beaucoup Marcelo pour ce courrier posté le 15 septembre 2008 de Santos, importante ville portuaire située dans l'état de Sao Paulo :-)
Cette "Carta Mundial" est en fait une enveloppe pré-affranchie à validité permanente proposée par la poste brésilienne (Correios) pour envoyer un courrier prioritaire vers l'étranger.

This "Carta Mundial" is in fact a pre-stamped envelope with a permanent validity proposed by the Brazilian Post (Correios) to send a Priority letter to foreign countries.

Celle ci-dessus concerne les envois jusqu'à 50g (tarif 3,70 R$), d'après la mention au dos de l'enveloppe.
La poste brésilienne propose également le même type de carte pour les envois jusqu'à 20g (2,00 R$) et 100g (6,70 R$).
La poste française propose également ce type de lettre pré-affranchies (PAP ou "Prêt-A-Poster") pour des envois jusqu'à 20g à destination de la France ou du monde.
Ce qui est surprenant sur cette enveloppe est que le timbre ne comporte que la mention "Taxa Paga - Postage Paid", sans aucune référence au pays émetteur, le Brésil ??
This cover above concerns mails up to 50g (R$ 3.70), according to the words on the back of the envelope.
The Brazilian Post also offers the same type of cover for items up to 20g (R$ 2.00) and 100g (R$ 6.70).
The French Post also proposes this type of pre-stamped letter (named PAP meaning "Ready to Post") for items up to 20g to France or abroad.
What is surprising about this cover is that the stamp only includes the words "Taxa Paga - Postage Paid" without any reference to the issuing country, Brazil ??
