Nordia 2009 in Iceland

Du 29 au 31 mai 2009, la fédération philatélique islandaise a organisé l'exposition philatélique nordique "Nordia 2009" à Hafnarfjörður, 3ème ville du pays située à 10 km au sud de la capitale Reykjavik.
C'est la 5ème fois que l'Islande accueille une exposition Nordia (depuis 1978) qui regroupe des négociants et collectionneurs affiliés aux fédérations des pays nordiques (Norvège, Suède, Danemark, Finlande et Islande).
Pour célébrer cet évènement, la poste islandaise a émis le 7 mai 2009 un très joli bloc-feuillet composé d'un timbre à 190 króna.
From 29 to 31 May 2009, the Icelandic Philatelic Federation organized the Nordic Stamp Exhibition "Nordia 2009" in Hafnarfjörður, third largest city in the country located 10 km south of the capital Reykjavik.
This is the 5th time that Iceland is hosting a Nordia Exhibition (since 1978) which brings together stamp dealers and collectors affiliated to Nordic countries associations (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland).
To commemorate this event, the Icelandic Post has issued on 7th of May 2009 a beautiful souvenir sheet consisting of a stamp (190 króna).

La poste islandaise a émis 3 cachets postaux spéciaux différents pour chacune des 3 journées de cette exposition. Celui du 29 mai 2009 ci-dessus évoque la journée des jeunes ("Dagur Aeskunnar").
Je trouve ce bloc-feuillet tout simplement splendide ! et je pense qu'il ne sera pas loin d'être une des plus jolies émissions émises en 2009 !
Il montre un groupe de macareux moine (Fratercula arctica), oiseaux marins pélagiques ne vivant que dans l'Atlantique nord. Cet oiseau est souvent appelé "le prêtre" en islandais, son nom latin signifiant "petit frère de l'arctique", en référence à son plumage rappelant l'habit d'un moine...
Les macareux ci-dessus vivent sur les îles Vestmann (archipel du sud du pays) et on devine dans le fond le glacier Eyjafjallajökull, le 6ème plus grand d'Islande.

The Iceland Post has issued three different special postmarks for each day of this Exhibition. The cancellation above (29th of May 2009) refers to the Youth Day ("Dagur Aeskunnar").
I find this souvenir sheet simply splendid ! and I think it will not be far from being one of the most beautiful stamps issued in 2009 !
This sheet depicts a group of Atlantic Puffins (Fratercula arctica), some pelagic seabirds living in the North Atlantic. This bird is often called the "priest" in Icelandic, its Latin name meaning "little brother of the Arctic", in reference to its plumage recalling the habit of a monk...
The Puffins above are living on the Vestmann islands (archipelago located in southern country) and we can observe at the background the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, the 6th largest in Iceland.
