A l'occasion du 100ème anniversaire de la naissance de l'illustratrice et peintre Élisabeth Ivanovsky (1910-2006), la poste moldave a émis, le 20 avril 2010, son 7ème entier postal de l'année (tirage : 20000 exemplaires).

Élisabeth Ivanovsky (Elisaveta Ivanovschi en moldave) est née en 1910 de parents russes à Chişinău (Kishinev à l'époque) où elle suivra des cours à l'école des beaux-arts. Elle quitte la Moldavie à 22 ans pour la Belgique où elle s'inscrit à l'institut des arts décoratifs "La Cambre" de Bruxelles. Elle y suivra des cours en illustration et en création de décors de théâtres et de costumes. Elle publiera ses premiers livres illustrés à partir de 1932, avec en particulier "Circus" en 1933.
At the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the illustrator and painter Elizabeth Ivanovsky (1910-2006), the Post of Moldova has issued on April 20, 2010, its seventh Postal Stationery this year (circulation : 20,000).

Elizabeth Ivanovsky (Elisaveta Ivanovschi in Moldovan) was born (Russian parents) in 1910 in Chişinău (Kishinev at the time) where she took courses at the School of Fine arts. She left Moldova at the age of 22 for Belgium where she enrolled at the "La Cambre" Institute of Decorative Arts in Brussels. She took courses in illustration and in creation of theatrical scenery and costumes. She published her first illustrated books from 1932, with in particular "Circus" in 1933.

Élisabeth Ivanovsky illustrera par la suite de nombreux livres pour la jeunesse et les petits enfants en particulier avec un style unique mêlant tendresse, lyrisme et humour.
Elle collaborera avec les plus grands écrivains et éditeurs de livres français et belges de l'époque et publiera près de 400 ouvrages. Elle épousera le poète et folkloriste belge René Meurant (1905-1977) avec qui elle créé la collection "Pomme d'Api".
La poste moldave a choisi de reproduire une photographie de l'artiste sur le timbre pré-imprimé ci-dessus au tarif intérieur prioritaire pour les lettres jusqu'à 20g (1,20 L actuellement). L'illustration à gauche reproduit un croquis d'un costume de scène ("Zăna visului") peint par Élisabeth Ivanovsky en 1927, conservé aujourd'hui au musée national d'art de Chişinău.
La poste moldave aurait pu choisir une de ses illustrations dans sa série EUROPA émise le 30 avril 2010 avec pour thème les livres pour enfants cette année !
Elizabeth Ivanovsky has thereafter illustrated many books for youngs and chidren in particular with a unique style mixing tenderness, lyricism and humor.
She worked with leading Belgian and French writers and book publishers and published nearly 400 books in total. She married the Belgian poet and folklorist René Meurant (1905-1977) with whom she created the collection "Pomme d'Api".
The Moldovan Post has chosen to reproduce a photograph of the artist on the pre-printed stamp above including the internal priority rate for letters up to 20g (L 1.20 currently).
The illustration on the left reproduces a sketch of a stage costume ("Zăna visului") painted by Elizabeth Ivanovsky in 1927, kept today at the National Art Museum of Chişinău.
The Post of Moldova hasn't unfortunately chosen one of her illustrations in its EUROPA series issued on April 30, 2010 devoted to children's books this year...

Sergio a complété son affranchissement, sur l'autre face de cet entier postal ci-dessus, avec un timbre émis le 14 juillet 2001 dans une série de 4 timbres et un bloc-feuillet consacrés au jardin zoologique de Chişinău créé en 1978.
Ce timbre, curieusement le seul de la série à avoir été émis avec une surtaxe (0,30 L), représente une antilope Nilgaut (Boselaphus tragocamelus), une espèce de bovidé vivant en Inde, au Pakistan et au Népal. C'est la plus grande antilope vivant en Asie.
Sergio has completed his postage, on the other side of this postal stationery above, with a stamp issued on July 14, 2001 in a series of four stamps and one souvenir sheet devoted to the zoological garden of Chişinău, established in 1978.
This stamp, curiously the only of this series to have been issued with a surcharge (L 0.30), is featuring a Nilgai (Boselaphus tragocamelus), a Bovidae's species living in India, Pakistan and Nepal. It's the biggest antelope living in Asia.
