EUROPA 2011 stamps from Iceland

Après la Lettonie, je suis heureux de partager avec vous cette nouvelle série EUROPA émise cette année, en provenance cette fois d'Islande.
Merci beaucoup Benedikt pour cette jolie lettre postée le 18 avril 2011 de la capitale Reykjavik :-)
Pour rappel, l'organisation postale PostEurop a choisi le thème des forêts pour les timbres EUROPA émis en 2011 en référence à l'année internationale des forêts (déclaration de l'assemblée générale des Nations Unies).
Cette série islandaise au graphisme plutôt original, conçue par Elsa Nielsen (émise le 17 mars 2011), met l'accent sur le rôle primordial des forêts dans l'économie et l'écosystème.

As a reminder, the postal organization PostEurop has chosen the theme of Forests fot the EUROPA stamps issued in 2011 in reference to the International Year of Forests (declaration of the UN General Assembly).
This rather original Icelandic series, designed by Elsa Nielsen (issued on March 17, 2011), focuses on the role of forests in the economy and the ecosystem.

Le timbre de gauche (tarif permanent pour les envois jusqu'à 50g vers l'Europe, soit 165 ISK) montre une coupe transversale d'un tronc d'arbre, évoquant la forêt en tant que ressource naturelle et productrice de bois (construction, chauffage...).
A noter la présence d'un pictogramme (aux reflets métalliques) en haut à droite sur le timbre symbolisant la transformation du bois en meuble, en table en l'occurrence.
L'autre timbre (tarif permanent pour les envois jusqu'à 50g hors d'Europe, soit 220 ISK) montre le gros plan d'une feuille symbolisant notamment le rôle des forêts dans la réduction de l'effet de serre, en absorbant en partie le CO2 de l'atmosphère.
Je ne sais pas exactement ce que signifie le pictogramme inclus sur ce timbre ?
A noter enfin que, comme les années précédentes, ces 2 timbres ont été émis chacun en version autocollante dans un carnet de 10 timbres.
The stamp to the left (permanent rate for letters up to 50g to Europe, i.e. ISK 165) features a cross section of a tree trunk, referring to the forest as a natural resource and producer of wood (construction, heating...).
To note the presence of a pictogram (with a metallic effect) top right on the stamp symbolizing the transformation of wood to furniture, to a table here.
The other stamp (permanent rate for letters up to 50g outside Europe, i.e. ISK 220) depicts the closeup of a leaf symbolizing the role of forests in reducing global warming by absorbing a part of the CO2 of the atmosphere.
I don't know exactly what means the symbol included on this stamp ?
Finally, to note that, as in previous years, these two stamps have been each issued in self-adhesive version in a booklet of 10 stamps.
