Après le thème de l'eau en 2010 et celui de la terre en 2011 et avant celui de l'air en 2013, la Fête du Timbre 2012, organisée dans 118 villes de France les 13 et 14 octobre 2012, était consacrée cette année au feu.
Comme les 2 années précédentes, un timbre Marianne, un bloc-feuillet ainsi qu'un carnet de 12 timbres autocollants (tarif permanent "Lettre Prioritaire 20g") ont été émis à cette occasion.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir quelques souvenirs de cette Fête du Timbre, envoyés de différentes villes de France, de ma ville de Lyon en premier :-)
Le bloc-feuillet (2€), la Marianne (0,60€) ainsi qu'un des timbres du carnet (la fête de la Saint-Jean) figurent sur ce pli ci-dessous avec le joli TAD spécial (conçu par Claude Perchat) évoquant également des danseurs autour d'un feu.
Following the theme of Water in 2010 and Earth in 2011 and before Air in 2013, the "Fête du Timbre 2012" ("Stamp Day 2012"), organized in 118 cities of France on 13 and 14 October 2012, was devoted this year to Fire.
As the previous two years, a stamp "Marianne", a souvenir sheet as well as a booklet of 12 self-adhesive stamps (permanent rate "Priority Letter 20g") have been issued on this occasion.
I was lucky enough to receive some covers from this "Fête du Timbre", sent from different cities of France, from my city of Lyon at first :-)
The souvenir sheet (€ 2.00), the "Marianne" (€ 0.60) and one of the stamps of the booklet (St John's Eve) appear on this cover below with the nice special postmark (designed by Claude Perchat) also evoking dancers around a fire.
Sans doute un clin d'oeil aux derniers jeux olympiques de Londres, Yves Beaujard a adapté sa Marianne (tirage : 2300000) pour lui accoler une torche.
Quant au bloc-feuillet (impression mixte offset/taille-douce, tirage : 1100000), mis en page et gravé par Pierre Albuisson, il reproduit la partie centrale d'un triptyque intitulé "La Tentation de Saint Antoine" peint vers 1506 par Jérôme Bosch (vers 1453-1516), un des grands maîtres de la Renaissance flamande.
Cette toile, conservée au musée national d'art antique de Lisbonne, met en scène la vie de Saint Antoine dans un monde où les hommes semblent pris de folie et où le feu est une incarnation du mal dans une Europe alors minée par les guerres et les épidémies...
Probably in reference to the last Olympic Games in London, Yves Beaujard has adapted its Marianne stamp (print run : 2.3 million) to place her with a torch side by side.
As for the souvenir sheet (offset/intaglio printing, print run : 1,100,000), laid out and engraved by Pierre Albuisson, it reproduces the central part of a triptych entitled "The Temptation of St. Anthony" painted around 1506 by Hieronymus Bosch (c. 1453-1516), one of the great masters of the Flemish Renaissance.
This painting, kept at the National Museum of Ancient Art in Lisbon, depicts the life of Saint Anthony in a world where men seem amok and where fire is an incarnation of evil in an Europe then undermined by wars and epidemics...
A l'occasion de cette Fête du Timbre, la FFAP (Fédération Française des Associations Philatéliques) a également distribué l'entier postal ci-dessus (tirage limité : 47000 exemplaires), en échange d'un minimum d'achat de 6€, sur les stands des différents clubs philatéliques affiliés qui étaient présents dans les 118 villes de France.
Cet entier, qui reprend le visuel de la Marianne "Le timbre fête le feu", a été conçu par Étienne Théry, le créateur également du carnet de 12 timbres dont une partie de la couverture (feux de la Saint-Jean) est reproduite sur l'autre face ci-dessous.
On the occasion of this "Fête du Timbre", the FFAP (French Federation of Philatelic Associations) has also released the postal stationery above (print run : 47,000 only), in exchange for a minimum purchase of € 6.00, on the stands of the different stamp clubs members that were present in the 118 cities of France.
This postal stationery, that reproduces the design of the Marianne (with the mention "The stamp celebrates Fire" in French), was designed by Etienne Théry, also the creator of the booklet of 12 stamps (a part of this booklet's cover (St. John's Eve) is reproduced on the other side below).

Le concepteur et graveur de la Marianne, Yves Beaujard, était présent au Carré d'Encre pour une séance de dédicace le 13 octobre 2012. C'est sa signature qui figure en haut à droite à côté de son timbre Marianne !

The designer and engraver of this "Marianne" stamp, Yves Beaujard, was present at the "Carré d'Encre" for a signing session on October 13, 2012. It is his signature that appears on the top right next to his "Marianne" stamp !

J'aime bien cette lettre car elle a été affranchie avec le timbre détaché du bloc-feuillet (c'était d'ailleurs la seule partie gommée...), ce qui permet de mieux apprécier ce thème du feu avec ce village en train de brûler...

I like this letter because it was franked with the stamp extracted from the souvenir sheet (this was beside the only gummed part...), allowing a better appreciation of this fire topic with this village burning...
