J'ai déjà évoqué, dans un article récent publié sur ce blog, le timbre émis le 9 octobre 2012 par la poste marocaine, consacré au faucon.
Ce timbre a été émis conjointement avec le Qatar, ce qui explique la présence des drapeaux des 2 pays en arrière-plan. C'est la version qatarie de ce timbre (2,50 riyals) qui figure à droite sur la lettre ci-dessous postée le 18 décembre 2012 de Doha, la capitale. Merci beaucoup Nilesh :-)
Ce thème du faucon a été choisi car il s'agit d'un symbole de culture, de tradition et de sport ancestraux dans de nombreux pays arabes.
I've already mentioned, in a recent post on this blog, the stamp issued on October 9, 2012 by the Moroccan postal administration, dedicated to the falcon.
This stamp was actually a joint issue with Qatar, which explains the presence of the flags of the two countries in the background. It is the Qatar's version of this stamp (2.50 Riyals) that appears to the right on the cover below mailed on December 18th 2012 from Doha, the capital. Thank you very much Nilesh :-)

Nilesh a complété son affranchissement avec une timbre (0,50 riyal), émis le 14 octobre 2008 pour annoncer l'organisation de la 14ème édition de l'exposition philatélique du GCC ("GCC Stamps Exhibition") à Doha.
Cette exposition a lieu chaque année depuis 1995 dans un des 6 pays membres du GCC ("Conseil de Coopération du Golfe") : Arabie Saoudite, Oman, Koweït, Bahreïn, Qatar et Emirats Arabes Unis.
Cet événement est considéré comme une opportunité pour les pays participants à soutenir les valeurs artistiques liées au timbre-poste, à encourager la philatélie en tant que hobby et à accroître la coopération des services postaux entre ces pays.
Nilesh has completed his postage with a stamp (0.50 Riyal), issued on October 14, 2008 to announce the organization of the 14th edition of the GCC Stamps Exhibition in Doha.
This exhibition is taking place each year since 1995 in one of the six member countries of the GCC ("Gulf Cooperation Council") : Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
This event is seen as an opportunity for participating countries to support artistic values related to postage stamp, to promote philately as a hobby and to increase the cooperation between the postal services of these countries.
