425ème anniversaire du 1er ouvrage imprimé en Lettonie

425 years of the first printing works in Latvia

Le 22 octobre 2013 a eu lieu à Riga (dans la bibliothèque Misiņš) la mise en vente Premier Jour du timbre consacré au 425ème anniversaire du premier ouvrage imprimé sur le territoire letton.
Ce timbre (0,60 lats = 0,85€, tirage : 50000), conçu par Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja, montre une pile de livres anciens à droite ainsi qu'une vue de la plus ancienne presse d'imprimerie conservée actuellement dans le monde, au musée Plantin-Moretus d'Anvers en Belgique.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le magnifique FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 1500) concernant ce timbre. Merci beaucoup Juris :-)
Ce timbre, comme c'est le cas ici avec une partition d'un "Magnificat octavi toni", a été émis en feuille de 8 timbres avec 4 vignettes centrales différentes reproduisant des pages imprimées à Riga à la fin du 16ème siècle.
On October 22, 2013 took place in Riga (in the Misiņš library) the First Day of Issue of the stamp dedicated to the 425th anniversary of the first printed book on the Latvian territory.
That stamp (0.60 Lats = € 0.85, print run : 50,000), designed by Arta Ozola-Jaunarāja, shows a pile of old books to the right as well as a view of the oldest printing press currently preserved in the world, in the Plantin-Moretus Museum in Antwerp, Belgium.
I was lucky to receive the beautiful official FDC below (print run : 1,500) regarding that stamp. Thank you very much Juris :-)
That stamp, as it is the case here with a score of "Magnificat octavi toni", was issued in a sheet of 8 stamps with 4 different central labels reproducing some printed pages in Riga at the end of the 16th century.

Les premiers livres ont été donc imprimés à Riga (rue Krāmu) à partir de 1588 lorsque l'imprimeur flamand Niclas Mollyn (1555-1625) créé la première société d'impression et d'édition sur le territoire de la Lettonie.
Niclas Mollyn ("Nikolajs Mollīns" en letton), dont la signature est incluse sur ce timbre et dont le nom est mentionné en latin sur le TAD Premier Jour, imprimait auparavant des ouvrages à Anvers.
Lors de son séjour à Riga, plus de 180 livres seront imprimés, principalement en latin et en allemand, dont 3 en letton.
Parmi les 2 ouvrages imprimés en 1588, le "Carmen Gratulatorium" est conservé aujourd'hui dans le département des manuscrits anciens de la bibliothèque académique de l'université de Lettonie.
Niclas Mollyn est surtout connu pour son "Panorama de Riga" (1612) dont une partie est reproduite dans le fond sur cette enveloppe FDC, derrière ce groupe de 5 personnages.
The first books were thus printed in Riga (in Krāmu street) from 1588 when Flemish printer Niclas Mollyn (1555-1625) created the first printing and publishing company on the territory of Latvia.
