J'ai déjà évoqué sur ce blog des timbres de la série, émise le 29 août 2014, consacrée à certains des humoristes les plus connus au Canada et dans le monde pour certains (Jim Carrey ou Mike Myers).
Le timbre ci-dessous à droite, qui fait également partie de cette série, rend hommage à l'acteur, comédien de théâtre et humoriste québécois Olivier Guimond (1914-1970).
Parmi ses rôles les plus connus au Canada : Basile Lebrun dans la série télévisée "Cré Basile" diffusée entre 1965 et 1970.

I've already spoken on this blog about some stamps of the series, issued on August 29, 2014, dedicated to some of the most famous comedians in Canada and around the world for some of them (Jim Carrey or Mike Myers).
The stamp below to the right, that is also part of this series, pays tribute to the actor, theater actor and comedian Olivier Guimond (1914-1970) from Quebec Province.
Among his best known roles in Canada : Basile Lebrun in the television series "Cré Basile" aired between 1965 and 1970.

Les 2 autres timbres ci-dessus font référence à l'histoire du Canada avec le 50ème anniversaire de l'adoption du drapeau national (timbre émis le 15 février 2015) et le 200ème anniversaire de la naissance de John Alexander Macdonald (timbre émis le 11 janvier 2015).
John A. Macdonald (1815-1891), premier Premier Ministre du Canada (entre 1867 et 1873 puis entre 1978 et 1891), est considéré comme l'un des pères fondateurs et unificateurs du pays.
Sous ses gouvernements, le chemin de fer atteint la côte Pacifique (en 1885), un moyen de transport permettant d'unifier le Canada, le projet de Confédération canadienne voit le jour et le Canada, relativement petit, couvre ensuite la moitié septentrionale de l'Amérique du Nord.
A l'initiative d'un autre Premier Ministre, Lester B. Pearson (1897-1972), Prix Nobel de la Paix en 1957, le drapeau canadien rouge et blanc, l'unifolié ou drapeau à la feuille d'érable, est adopté et hissé pour la 1ère fois sur la colline du parlement le 15 février 1965.
The other two stamps above refer to the history of Canada with the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the national flag (stamp issued on February 15, 2015) and the 200th anniversary of the birth of John A. Macdonald (stamp issued on January 11, 2015).
John A. Macdonald (1815-1891), first Prime Minister of Canada (between 1867 and 1873 and between 1978 and 1891), is considered as one of the founding fathers and unifiers of the country.
Under his governments, the railroad reached the Pacific Coast (1885), a transportation means allowing to unify Canada, the project of Canadian Confederation is in place and Canada, relatively small at the origin, then covers the northern half of North America.
At the initiative of another Prime Minister, Lester B. Pearson (1897-1972), Nobel Peace Prize in 1957, the red and white Canadian flag, the Unifolié or Maple Leaf flag, was adopted and hoisted for the first time on Parliament Hill on February 15, 1965.
