A peine 2 mois après sa disparition (le 1er juillet 2015), la poste tchèque a mis en circulation le 2 septembre 2015 un timbre spécial afin de rendre hommage à Sir Nicholas George Winton (1909-2015), un citoyen britannique qui organisa le sauvetage de 669 enfants juifs tchécoslovaques pendant la 2ème guerre mondiale.
C'est ce timbre (13 CZK), conçu par Zdeněk Netopil, qui figure sur le FDC officiel de Prague ci-dessous (tirage : 4000), avec une gravure sur l'enveloppe (par Václav Fajt) symbolisant des mains jointes et une étoile de David.
Le timbre montre un portrait de Nicholas Winton (à partir d'une photographie prise en 2007 à Prague) avec des enfants près d'un train dans le fond.

Only two months after his death (on July 1, 2015), the Czech Post has released on September 2, 2015 a special stamp to pay tribute to Sir Nicholas George Winton (1909-2015), a British citizen who organized the rescue of 669 Czechoslovak Jewish children during the second world war.
It is that stamp (13 CZK), designed by Zdeněk Netopil, which appears on the official FDC below from Prague (print run : 4,000), with an engraving on the envelope (by Václav Fajt) symbolizing joined hands and with a star of David.
That stamp depicts a portrait of Nicholas Winton (from a photograph taken in 2007 in Prague) with children and a train in the background.

Jeune agent de change âgé de 29 ans en 1938, Nicholas Winton se rend à Prague en Tchécoslovaquie pour aider un ami, engagé dans le sauvetage de juifs.
Il mis alors en place une organisation pour sauver des enfants (669 au total) à partir d'un convoi de 8 trains entre Prague et Londres, en septembre 1939.
A noter qu'un 9ème train, bloqué dans la capitale tchécoslovaque suite à l'entrée en guerre du Royaume-Uni, ne put jamais quitter la gare et les 250 enfants à son bord ne furent jamais retrouvés...
Pendant près de 50 ans, personne n'a été informé de ce geste héroïque, jusqu'à ce que sa femme découvre par hasard une serviette en cuir contenant la liste des noms des 669 enfants sauvés de la barbarie nazie...
Young stockbroker aged 29 in 1938, Nicholas Winton traveled to Prague in Czechoslovakia to help a friend, engaged in rescuing Jews.
He set up an organization in order to save children (669 in total) from a convoy of eight trains from Prague to London in September 1939.
To note that a 9th train, stuck in the Czechoslovak capital following the entry into the war of the United Kingdom, never left the train station and the 250 children on board were never found...
For nearly 50 years, no one was aware of this heroic gesture, until his wife accidentally discovered a leather briefcase containing the names of the 669 children rescued from Nazi barbarism...
En septembre 2009, un train spécial appelé "Winton Train", ayant à son bord des enfants sauvés par Nicholas Winton en 1939, a effectué le trajet de Prague à Londres.
À leur arrivée sur le quai de Londres, les passagers ont été accueillis par Sir Nicholas George Winton (anobli par la reine Elizabeth II en 2002), alors âgé de 100 ans.
Une statue en son honneur a également été dévoilée à la gare centrale de Prague.
A noter le feuillet commémoratif ci-dessus concernant ce même timbre, avec un TAD (légèrement différent du TAD Premier Jour) mis en circulation à Prague 1 le 2 septembre 2015, conçu par Zdeněk Netopil.
Ce feuillet (prix de vente : 30 CZK) a été édité à seulement 2000 exemplaires (numérotés de 0121701 à 0123700).
In September 2009, a special train called "Winton Train", having on board the children saved by Nicholas Winton in 1939, made the journey from Prague to London.
At its arrival in London, passengers were welcomed by Sir Nicholas George Winton (knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2002), then aged 100 years.
A statue in his honor was also unveiled at the central train station in Prague.
