Comme de coutume chaque fin d'année, la poste tchèque a émis, le 16 décembre 2015, une nouvelle série intitulée "Oeuvres d'art sur timbres-poste" composée de 3 jolis timbres gravés, consacrés respectivement à des oeuvres d'Antonín Strnadel, Bohumír Matal et Karel Nepraš.
Un grand merci Bret pour ces 3 splendides FDC officiels (tirage : 3500 chacun) ci-dessous concernant chacun un de ces 3 nouveaux timbres !
Ces 3 timbres ont été imprimés (par la Post Printing House à Prague) chacun en feuillet composé de 4 timbres.
As usual each end of year, the Czech Post has issued on December 16, 2015, a new series entitled "Works of Art on Postage Stamps" composed of three beautiful engraved stamps, devoted respectively to works by Antonín Strnadel, Bohumír Matal and Karel Nepraš.
A big thank you Bret for these three great official FDC below (print run : 3,500 each) each regarding one of these three new stamps !
These three stamps were printed (by the Post Printing House in Prague) each in sheet containing four stamps.
Le 1er timbre ci-dessus (27 CZK), gravé par Pavel Kovářík, reproduit une illustration de livre typique du peintre, illustrateur et artiste graphique tchèque Antonín Strnadel (1910-1975), intitulée "jeune mariée en costume folklorique" (1960).
A partir de 1945, Antonín Strnadel a commencé à enseigner à l'École des Arts Appliqués de Prague puis est devenu un des principaux représentants de l'illustration d'après-guerre en Tchécoslovaquie.
Ses illustrations sont souvent inspirées du folklore (costumes, intérieurs des maisons, mode de vie...) de sa région natale de Valachie morave (sud-est de la République Tchèque actuelle).
Sur l'enveloppe Premier Jour ci-dessus, avec TAD de Prague (roses), la gravure à gauche est inspirée d'une autre illustration de Strnadel ("hommes en costume").
The first stamp above (27 CZK), engraved by Pavel Kovářík, is reproducing a typical book illustration by Czech painter, illustrator and graphic artist Antonín Strnadel (1910-1975), entitled "The girl in folk costume" (1960).
From 1945, Antonín Strnadel worked as a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Prague and became one of the main representatives of post-war illustration in Czechoslovakia.
His illustrations are often inspired by folklore (costumes, interiors of houses, lifestyle...) of his native region of Moravian Wallachia (southeast of the current Czech Republic).
On the First Day Cover above, with postmark from Prague (roses), the engraving on the left was inspired by another Strnadel's illustration ("Men in costumes").
La peinture "La séance" (1957) conservée dans la galerie des beaux-arts d'Ostrava, oeuvre du peintre tchèque Bohumír Matal (1922-1988), est reproduite sur le 2ème timbre (30 CZK, gravure : Václav Fajt) de cette série ci-dessus.
A noter le TAD Premier Jour de Brno, sa ville natale, ci-dessus, incluant un détail d'une autre oeuvre intitulée "Still live with a blue bird" alors que la gravure reproduit la peinture "bicylette" (1945).
Bohumír Matal fut un des plus jeunes membres du Groupe 42, ce collectif d'artistes fondé en 1942 en Tchécoslovaquie qui eut une grande influence sur l'art et la littérature tchèques d'après-guerre.
Les thèmes représentés sur ses oeuvres furent souvent liés aux gens et à la ville, à la civilisation et l'industrialisation...
The painting "The sitting" (1957) exhibited at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava, by Czech painter Bohumír Matal (1922-1988), is reproduced on the second stamp (30 CZK, engraving : Václav Fajt) of this series above.
To note the FDC cancellation from Brno, his hometown, above, including a detail of another painting entitled "Still live with a blue bird" while the engraving reproduces the painting "Bicycle" (1945).
Bohumír Matal was one of the youngest members of the Group 42, an artistic group officially established in 1942 in Czechoslovakia which had a great influence on Czech postwar literature and arts.
The themes depicted in his works were often linked to people and the city, civilization and industrialization...
Le dernier timbre ci-dessus (34 CZK, gravure : Martin Srb) montre la sculpture "Le grand dialogue" (1966), exposée à la galerie nationale de Prague, oeuvre de Karel Nepraš (1932-2002), sculpteur, dessinateur et professeur à l'Académie des Beaux-Arts de Prague.
Cette sculpture est emblématique des oeuvres de Karel Nepraš : des créatures rouges spéciales symbolisant souvent l'ironie et le sarcasme, constituées à partir de tuyaux métalliques, de vis, de pièces de bicyclettes et autres matériaux de plomberie.
Pionnier de l'art moderne tchèque, Nepraš a été interdit d'exposer entre le Printemps de Prague en 1968 et la Révolution de Velours en 1989, en raison de ses idées politiques.
La peinture "Colour Drawing" (1981) est reproduite sur la gravure ci-dessus alors que le TAD de Prague est inspiré d'une partie d'une autre peinture de Nepraš intitulée "deux pianos, deux paires d'oreilles, un stylo".
The last stamp above (34 CZK, engraving : Martin Srb) is devoted to the sculpture "The great dialogue" (1966), exhibited at the National Gallery in Prague, a work by Karel Nepraš (1932-2002), sculptor, graphic artist and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague.
This sculpture is emblematic of Karel Nepraš's works : special red creatures bursting with irony and sarcasm, made of metal pipes, screws, parts of bicycles and other plumbing materials.
Pioneer of Czech modern art, Nepraš was prohibited from exhibiting between the Prague Spring of 1968 and the Velvet Revolution of 1989, because of his political ideas.
The painting "Colour Drawing" (1981) is reproduced on the envelope's engraving above while the FDC cancellation from Prague was inspired by a part of another Nepraš's painting entitled "Two Pianos, Two pairs of Ears, A Pen".
