120th anniversary of the Chinese Postal Service, celebrated in Taiwan

120 ans de services postaux chinois célébrés à Taïwan

Le 20 mars 1896, le bureau postal des douanes (établi en 1878 par le consul britannique Robert Hart) fut officiellement transformé en "Great Qing Post" (en référence à la dynastie impériale Qing de l'époque), marquant le début d'un système postal chinois.
Cette "Great Qing Post" devint la Chunghwa Post en 1912 après l'abdication du dernier empereur et la création de la République de Chine.
La Chunghwa Post sera le principal opérateur postal en Chine continentale jusqu'en 1949 et la création de la République Populaire de Chine.
L'opérateur postal à Taïwan porte toujours actuellement le nom de Chunghwa Post.
On March 20, 1896, the Customs Post Office (established in 1878 by British consular official Robert Hart) officially became the "Great Qing Post" (referring to the Qing imperial dynasty of the time), marking the beginning of a Chinese postal system.
This "Great Qing Post" became the Chunghwa Post in 1912 after the abdication of the last emperor and the creation of the Republic of China.
The Chunghwa Post was the main postal operator in mainland China until 1949 and the creation of the People's Republic of China.
The postal operator in Taiwan is still currently named "Chunghwa Post".

Le 18 mars 2016, la poste taïwanaise a mis en circulation un intéressant bloc-feuillet concernant ce 120ème anniversaire de la création des services postaux chinois.
Un grand merci George pour ce FDC officiel ci-dessus concernant ce bloc-feuillet (conception : Up Creative Design and Advertising Corporation) !
Les 2 cachets violets appliqués à Keelung sur cette enveloppe font référence à ce 120ème anniversaire et à la statue (25 mètres de haut) de la déesse Guanyin, située au sommet du parc Chung Cheng.
Les 2 timbres composant ce bloc montrent respectivement une bicyclette et une boîte aux lettres ancienne (5 NT$) et une motocyclette et une boîte aux lettre contemporaine (12 NT$).
D'autres moyens de transport postal (avion, camionnette) sont également présents dans les marges ainsi qu'une partie de l'équipement d'un facteur (sacoche par exemple).
A noter enfin que la China Post, l'opérateur postal de la République Populaire de Chine, a également émis (le 20 mars 2016) une série de 4 timbres consacrée à ce même 120ème anniversaire.
On March 18, 2016, the Taiwanese Post has released an interesting souvenir sheet devoted to this 120th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Postal Service.

The two purple cachets from Keelung also applied on this envelope refer to this 120th anniversary and to the statue (25 meters high) of the goddess Guanyin, on the top of Chung Cheng Park.
The two stamps composing this souvenir sheet respectively feature a bicycle and an old mailbox (NT $ 5) and a motorcycle and a contemporary mail box (NT $ 12).
Other means of postal transportation (plane, truck) are also present in the margins as well as a part of the equipment of a postman (eg postal bag).
Finally, to note that the China Post, the postal operator of the People's Republic of China, also issued (on March 20, 2016) a series of 4 stamps devoted to that same 120th anniversary.
