Par une résolution du 6 décembre 1999, l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies a proclamé la "Semaine mondiale de l'espace" afin de célébrer chaque année, du 4 au 10 octobre, la contribution des sciences et des techniques spatiales à l'amélioration de la condition humaine.
Ces dates rappellent le lancement, le 4 octobre 1957, du premier satellite artificiel, Spoutnik I, ainsi que l'entrée en vigueur, le 10 octobre 1967, du traité sur les principes régissant les activités des États en matière d'exploration et d'utilisation de l'espace extra-atmosphérique...
Le thème de cette année 2016, "La télédétection : une avancée pour notre avenir", avait pour objectif de nous sensibiliser à l'importance de l'observation de la Terre depuis l'espace et son rôle dans la protection et l'amélioration de la vie humaine.

La poste moldave met régulièrement en circulation des TAD spéciaux ayant pour thème l'espace, en particulier concernant les premiers vols habités, la Journée internationale du vol spatial habité...Comme en 2014, une nouvelle oblitération a été émise, entre le 4 et le 10 octobre 2016, par le bureau de poste de Chișinău (MD-2012) concernant cette Semaine mondiale de l'espace ("Săptămîna mondială a spaţiului cosmic").
C'est ce TAD (fusée + planète Saturne) qui a été appliqué le 5 octobre 2016 sur cette jolie enveloppe ci-dessus, éditée par la poste moldave en 2015 (n°7/2015, tirage : 5000, conception : Corina Levco), ayant l'espace pour thème. Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
Le timbre ci-dessus (11 L), émis le 12 avril 2016 et célébrant le 1er vol spatial habité de Gagarine (55ème anniversaire), est en fait une réémission du timbre émis le 12 avril 2001, avec une surcharge imprimée avec une encre dorée ("12 avril 2016 - 55 ans du premier vol spatial humain").

As in 2014, a new cancellation was issued from 4 to 10 October 2016, by the post office of Chișinău (MD-2012) regarding this World Space Week ("Săptămîna mondială a spaţiului cosmic").
This postmark (rocket + planet Saturn) was applied on October 5, 2016 on this great envelope above, published by the Post of Moldova in 2015 (No. 7/2015, print run : 5,000, design : Corina Levco) , devoted to this theme of space. Thank you very much Nicolae !
The stamp above (L 11), issued on April 12, 2016 and celebrating the first manned space flight of Gagarin (55th anniversary), is actually a reissue of the stamp issued on April 12, 2001 with an overprint applied with a golden ink ("April 12, 2016 - 55 years of the first human space flight").
