75th anniversary of Operation Anthropoid - special Czech postmark

75ème anniversaire de l'Opération Anthropoid - TAD spécial tchèque

Il y a 75 ans (le 25 mai 1942), la résistance tchécoslovaque réalisait une des opérations les plus marquantes de la résistance à l'occupant allemand, appelée "Opération Anthropoid".
Deux de ses membres, Jan Kubiš et Jozef Gabčík, parvenaient en effet à assassiner le haut dignitaire nazi Reinhard Heydrich, protecteur de la Bohême-Moravie et l'un des principaux organisateurs de la "solution finale" contre les juifs.
Les représailles allemandes furent terribles pour la population tchèque avec en particulier les 2 villages de Lidice et Ležáky qui furent rasés en juin 1942 et leurs habitants exécutés ou déportés dans des camps de concentration.
La République tchèque commémore cette année ces événements qui ont permis de montrer au monde entier que les Tchécoslovaques étaient loin d'être passifs face à la barbarie nazie.
75 years ago (it was on May 25, 1942), the Czechoslovak Resistance carried out one of the most prominent operations of Resistance against the German occupation, called "Operation Anthropoid".
Two of its members, Jan Kubiš and Jozef Gabčík, indeed succeeded in assassinating the high-ranking Nazi dignitary Reinhard Heydrich, protector of Bohemia-Moravia and one of the main organizers of the "final solution" against the Jews.
German reprisals were terrible for the Czech population, especially in the two villages of Lidice and Ležáky which were razed in June 1942 and their inhabitants executed or deported to concentration camps.
Czech Republic is commemorating these events this year, which showed to the world that the Czechoslovaks were far from being passive facing Nazi barbarism.

J'ai déjà évoqué sur ce blog en particulier cet intéressant bloc-feuillet mis en circulation le 17 mai 2017 afin de commémorer le 75ème anniversaire de cette Opération Anthropoid.
Ce 17 mai 2017, le bureau principal de Prague 1 a mis en circulation un TAD spécial consacré à cette Opération Anthropoid, représentant simplement un écusson de parachutiste, Jozef Gabčík et Jan Kubiš étant 2 parachutistes envoyés depuis le siège de la résistance tchécoslovaque à Londres.
A noter que ce TAD, conçu par Karel Zeman, est quasiment identique à l'oblitération Premier Jour concernant le bloc-feuillet (la mention "Praha" étant remplacée ici par "Praha 1").
C'est ce TAD qui a été appliqué sur cette intéressante lettre ci-dessus (merci beaucoup Slavek !) affranchie, entre autres, avec 2 timbres identiques (13 CZK), émis le 5 novembre 2014 pour commémorer 2 anniversaires : le 75ème anniversaire du 17 novembre 1939 (fermeture des universités par Hitler suite à une manifestation d'étudiants contre le régime Nazi) et le 25ème anniversaire de la Révolution de velours du 17 novembre 1989.
I've already mentioned in particular on this blog this interesting miniature sheet put into circulation on May 17, 2017 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Operation Anthropoid.
On May 17, 2017, the main post office of Prague 1 put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to this Operation Anthropoid, simply featuring a paratrooper's badge, Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš being two parachutists sent from the Czechoslovak Resistance headquarters in London.
To note that this postmark, designed by Karel Zeman, is almost identical to the first day cancellation concerning the miniature sheet (the mention "Praha" being replaced here by "Praha 1").
This postmark was applied on this interesting letter above (thank you very much Slavek!) franked, among others, with two identical stamps (13 CZK), issued on November 5, 2014 to commemorate two anniversaries : the 75th anniversary of November  17th 1939 (closure of universities by Hitler after a student demonstration against the Nazi regime) and the 25th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution of November 17th, 1989.
