Après Djakarta en 1962, l'Indonésie organise à nouveau, du 18 août au 2 septembre 2018, les Jeux asiatiques (18ème édition depuis 1951), à Djakarta (capitale du pays, île de Java) mais aussi à Palembang (sud de l'île de Sumatra).
Cette édition des jeux asiatiques réunit environ 11000 athlètes de 45 pays ou territoires membres du Conseil olympique d'Asie (OCA), dans 40 sports différents (dont 28 sports olympiques).
A cette occasion, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation, le 9 juillet 2018, une jolie série de 2 timbres (conception : Vitaliu Pogolșa), présents sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous envoyé en recommandé de Bichkek, la capitale.
After Jakarta in 1962, Indonesia is again organizing, from 18 August to 2 September 2018, the Asian Games (18th edition since 1951), in Jakarta (capital of the country, island of Java) but also in Palembang (south of Sumatra Island).
This edition of the Asian Games brings together approximately 11,000 athletes from 45 countries or territories members of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), in 40 different sports (including 28 Olympic sports).
On this occasion, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the 2nd designated postal operator of Kyrgyzstan, put into circulation, on July 9, 2018, a nice series of 2 stamps (design: Vitaliu Pogolşa), present on the official FDC below sent by registered mail from Bishkek, the capital.
Ces 2 timbres (100 et 150 KGS, tirage : 7000 chacun), imprimés en Moldavie par Nova Imprim, représentent respectivement des disciplines aquatiques (canoë-course en ligne, natation, voile) et d'autres sports au programme de ces jeux (cyclisme, golf, volley-ball, karaté).
Le TAD Premier Jour comporte l'emblème officiel des Jeux asiatiques, l'illustration à gauche sur ce FDC (tirage : 400) montrant une vue aérienne du stade Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) à Djakarta (cérémonies d'ouverture et de fermeture, athlétisme), construit pour ces mêmes Jeux asiatiques de 1962 puis rénové pour la coupe d'Asie de football en 2007 et pour ces Jeux asiatiques 2018.
These 2 stamps (100 and 150 KGS, print run: 7,000 each), printed in Moldova by Nova Imprim, respectively represent water disciplines (canoe sprint, swimming, sailing) and other sports on the program of these games (cycling, golf, volleyball, karate).
The First Day cancellation features the official emblem of the Asian Games, the illustration on the left on this cover (print run: 400) showing an aerial view of the Gelora Bung Karno stadium (GBK) in Jakarta (opening and closing ceremonies, athletics), built for the same Asian Games in 1962 and renovated for the Asian Football Cup in 2007 and for these Asian Games 2018.
Le Kirghizstan participe pour la 7ème fois à ces Jeux asiatiques depuis 1994 et a remporté une cinquantaine de médailles (dont 3 en or) entre 1994 et 2014, le Japon puis la Chine (depuis 1982) dominant largement le classement des médailles de cette compétition.
Pour ces Jeux asiatiques 2018, le Kirghizstan a engagé une important délégation (224 athlètes) et a remporté à ce jour 10 médailles (dont 1 en or) dans 3 sports (lutte, haltérophilie, ju-jitsu).
Les 2 timbres ont été émis dans le même bloc-feuillet ci-dessus (tirage : 2000 blocs-feuillets) avec une vignette centrale consacrés à 4 autres sports (baseball, basket-ball, rugby, badminton).
Kyrgyzstan is participating for the 7th time in these Asian Games since 1994 and has won about fifty medals (including 3 gold) between 1994 and 2014, Japan and China (since 1982) largely dominating the medal ranking of this competition.
For these 2018 Asian Games, Kyrgyzstan has engaged a large delegation (224 athletes) and has so far won 10 medals (including 1 gold) in 3 sports (wrestling, weightlifting, ju-jitsu).
The two stamps were issued in the same souvenir sheet above (print run: 2,000 souvenir sheets) with a central coupon dedicated to 4 other sports (baseball, basketball, rugby, badminton).
Ces 2 timbres ont été également imprimés chacun dans un élégant feuillet composé de 4 timbres (cf ci-dessus, tirage : 1250 feuillets pour chaque timbre).
Les 2 prochaines éditions de ces Jeux asiatiques aura lieu en 2022 à Hangzhou (Chine) et en 2026 à Nagoya (Japon).
