Le 19 octobre 2019 (prévente à Bastogne), la poste belge Bpost a mis en circulation 2 carnets (10 timbres autocollants chacun) consacrés aux festivités de Noël, représentant en particulier des vitraux, une scène de la Nativité de la collégiale Notre-Dame de Dinant pour le tarif "1" domestique (0,98€ depuis le 01/01/2020) et une Vierge à l'enfant de l'église Saint-Nicolas de Gand le tarif "1" Europe (1,55€ pour un envoi normalisé jusqu'à 50g).
Un timbre du carnet Europe (tirage : 110206 carnets) figure sur le pli ci-dessous, avec TAD Premier Jour de Bruxelles du 21 octobre 2019. Merci beaucoup Johan !
On October 19, 2019 (preview sale in Bastogne), the Belgian Post Bpost put into circulation two booklets (10 self-adhesive stamps each) dedicated to the Christmas festivities, representing in particular stained glass windows, a Nativity scene from the Collegiate Church of Our Lady in Dinant for the domestic "1" tariff (€ 0.98 since 01/01/2020) and a Virgin and Child from the St. Nicholas Church in Ghent the "1" Europe tariff (€ 1.55 for a standard shipment up to 50g).
A stamp from the Europe booklet (print run: 110,206 booklets) was used on the cover below, with First Day cancellation from Brussels of October 21, 2019. Thank you very much Johan!
Myriam Voz a conçu ce joli timbre reproduisant une partie d'un vitrail, récemment restauré, mettant l'accent sur les visages de la Vierge Marie et de l'enfant Jésus.
Ce vitrail a été conçu par le peintre verrier belge d'origine française Jean-Baptiste Capronnier (1814-1891) pour l'église Saint-Nicolas de Gand, construite entre le 13ème et le 15ème siècle dans un style gothique tournaisien, un des plus anciens et des plus imposants édifices de la ville.
Jean-Baptiste Capronnier a restauré ou créé de très nombreux vitraux pour des édifices religieux (entre 1838 et 1890), principalement en Belgique mais aussi en France, Allemagne et Pays-Bas.
La poste belge avait émis son tout premier timbre consacré à Noël en 1967 (Virga Jessa de l'église Notre-Dame à Hasselt).

This stained glass window was designed by the Belgian glass painter of French origin Jean-Baptiste Capronnier (1814-1891) for the St. Nicholas Church in Ghent, built between the 13th and 15th centuries in a Tournaisian Gothic style, one of the oldest and most prominent landmarks of the city.
Jean-Baptiste Capronnier restored or created numerous stained glass windows for religious buildings (between 1838 and 1890), mainly in Belgium but also in France, Germany and the Netherlands.
The Belgian Post had issued its very first Christmas stamp in 1967 (Virga Jessa from the Church of Our Lady in Hasselt).
