Le 4 décembre 2019, la poste malaisienne a mis en circulation sa dernière série de l'année (3 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) consacrée à différents types d'artisanat (bois, céramique, bambou, métal), traditionnels en particulier dans certaines régions du pays.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir les 2 splendides FDCs officiels ci-dessous concernant respectivement le bloc-feuillet (5 RM, tirage : 22000) et les 3 timbres (tirage : 250000 chacun) de cette série, avec TAD d'Ipoh (état de Perak). Merci beaucoup Khor !
Cette série, dont cet impressionnant bloc-feuillet incluant des parties en relief et recouvertes d'un vernis spécial, a été conçue par Reign Associates Sdn. Bhd. et imprimée par Southern Colour Print (Nouvelle-Zélande).
On December 4, 2019, the Malaysian Post released its last series of the year (3 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) devoted to different types of crafts (wood, ceramic, bamboo, metal), traditional in particular in some regions of the country.
I was lucky enough to receive the two splendid official FDCs below respectively regarding the souvenir sheet (5 RM, print run: 22,000) and the 3 stamps (print run: 250,000 each) of this series, with postmarks from Ipoh (state of Perak). Thank you very much Khor!
This series, including this impressive souvenir sheet with blind embossing and UV special varnish, was designed by Reign Associates Sdn. Bhd. and printed by Southern Color Print in New Zealand.

L'institut national malaisien de l'artisanat ou des centres créés dans certains états du pays (à Sabah et Sarawak en particulier) proposent ainsi des formations à ces techniques artisanales, pour les jeunes générations.
L'artisanat ayant le métal (argent, fer, cuivre, or, étain) pour matière première a débuté en Malaisie il y a plusieurs siècles, en particulier pour produire des bijoux (comme ce collier en or et pierres précieuses sur ce bloc-feuillet), des ustensiles de cuisine, des objets utilisés pour les cérémonies religieuses ou la décoration des maisons...

The Malaysian National Craft Institute or centers created in certain states of the country (in Sabah and Sarawak in particular) thus offer training in these craft techniques, for the younger generations.
Craft with metal (silver, iron, copper, gold, pewter) as a raw material started in Malaysia several centuries ago, in particular to produce jewelry (like this gold necklace with precious stones on this souvenir sheet), kitchen utensils, objects used for religious ceremonies or the decoration of houses ...
L'artisanat sur bois est à l'honneur sur le 1er timbre ci-dessus (60 sen), avec cette pièce sculptée (motifs floraux) et cet étui de kriss, ce poignard traditionnel dans le monde malais, au 1er plan.
Dans la péninsule malaise, de magnifiques pièces sculptées ornent les maisons traditionnelles de Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah ou Melaka.
L'art de la céramique (timbre à 80 sen) est réputé en particulier parmi l'éthnie des Iban vivant sur l'île de Bornéo, dans l'état de Sarawak.
Des fragments de vases très anciens produits par cette ethnie ont été découverts dans les grottes de Niah et Sireh.
Le dernier timbre de cette série (1 RM) est consacré à l'artisanat du tressage et tissage des feuilles de bambou (cette technique existe également à partir de feuilles de pandanus), traditionnel dans l'état de Sabah (objets appelés "Wakid" et "Takinan" reproduits sur ce timbre).
Wood craftsmanship is in the spotlight on the first stamp above (60 sen), with this sculpted piece (floral motifs) and this kriss case, used to protect this Malay traditional dagger, in the foreground.
In Peninsular Malaysia, magnificent wood carvings adorn the traditional houses of Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah or Melaka.
The art of ceramics (80 sen stamp) is particularly famous among the Iban ethnic group living on the island of Borneo, in the state of Sarawak.
Fragments of very old vases produced by this ethnic group have been discovered in the caves of Niah and Sireh.
The last stamp in this series (1 RM) is dedicated to the bamboo craft (this technique also exists from pandanus leaves), traditional in the state of Sabah (objects called "Wakid" and "Takinan" reproduced on this stamp).
