Après l'année du coq en 2017, l'année du chien en 2018 et l'année du cochon en 2019, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné (l'autre étant la poste kirghize) du Kirghizstan, a consacré sa dernière émission de l'année 2019 (1 timbre émis le 2 décembre 2019) aux festivités liées au passage à la nouvelle année, dans la tradition du calendrier lunaire chinois, l'année du rat de métal en particulier.
Ce timbre, conçu par Maxim Cerevcov (Vitaliu Pogolșa avait conçu les 3 précédents timbres) et imprimé en Moldavie par Nova Imprim, a été mis en circulation en feuillet composé de 5 timbres + 1 vignette.
Maxim Cerevcov a également conçu l'enveloppe FDC ainsi que le TAD Premier Jour et la carte-maximum.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le très joli FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 450) avec TAD de Bichkek, concernant ce timbre !
After the Year of the Rooster in 2017, the Year of the Dog in 2018 and the Year of the Pig in 2019, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the 2nd designated postal operator (the other being the Kyrgyz Post) of Kyrgyzstan, devoted its last issue of the year 2019 (one stamp issued on December 2, 2019) to the festivities related to the transition to the new year, in the tradition of the Chinese lunar calendar, the Year of the Metal Rat in particular.
This stamp, designed by Maxim Cerevcov (Vitaliu Pogolșa had designed the previous 3 stamps) and printed in Moldova by Nova Imprim, was put into circulation in a sheetlet composed of 5 stamps + 1 label.
Maxim Cerevcov also designed the FDC as well as the First Day cancellation and the maxicard.
I was lucky to receive the very nice official FDC below (print run: 450) with postmark from Bishkek, regarding this stamp!
Ce timbre (100 KGS, tirage : 8000) montre un rat souriant, une image que l'on retrouve sur le TAD et sur l'illustration à gauche sur cette enveloppe, avec également les mentions "Bonne Année!" en chinois et anglais.
Sur cette illustration, un rat est associé à une pièce de monnaie ancienne (ronde avec une forme évidée carrée au centre), le terme chinois signifiant "compter" étant un homonyme du mot "rat", donc cette image suggère l'idée de bon augure pour compter son argent à l'arrivée d'une nouvelle année.
Cette association est également présente sur la série "Année du Rat" (2 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) émise par la poste de Taïwan.
L'année du rat de métal a officiellement débuté le 25 janvier 2020 d'après le calendrier lunaire chinois.
This stamp (100 KGS, print run: 8,000) shows a smiling rat, an image that can be found on the First Day cancellation and on the illustration on the left on this envelope, also with the words "Happy New Year!" in Chinese and English.
In this illustration, a rat is associated with an old coin (round with a hollowed out square shape in the center), the Chinese word for "counting" being a homonym for "rat" so the image suggests the auspicious idea of counting one's money as a new year arrives.
This association is also present on the "Year of the Rat" set (2 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) issued by Taiwan Post.
The Year of the Metal Rat officially started on January 25, 2020 according to the Chinese lunar calendar.
Ci-dessus le splendide feuillet dans lequel ce timbre a été émis, avec une vignette inspirée de l'illustration sur le FDC et la mention "Année du Rat" en chinois.
A noter cette encoche elliptique sur les dentelures verticales concernant ce timbre ainsi que les mentions "Bonne Année !" en russe, kirghize, chinois et anglais dans les marges.
Above is the splendid sheetlet in which this stamp was issued, with a label inspired by the illustration on the FDC and the words "Year of the Rat" in Chinese.
To note this elliptical notch on the vertical perforations on this stamp as well as the words "Happy New Year!" in Russian, Kyrgyz, Chinese and English in the margins.
