La poste belge bpost avait déjà émis un timbre en 1987 (série "Philatélie de la jeunesse") consacré à la série de bande dessinée belge (en flamand) "Bob et Bobette".
Le 25 janvier 2020, la poste belge a mis en circulation (prévente à Gembloux) un intéressant bloc-feuillet (2 x 5 timbres) consacré cette fois au 75ème anniversaire de "Bob et Bobette" ("Suske en Wiske" en flamand).
Les 5 timbres différents composant ce feuillet, créé en collaboration avec Standaard Uitgeverij qui édite ces albums depuis plusieurs décennies, évoquent l'évolution de ces 2 personnages au fil du temps, à travers des reproductions de couvertures emblématiques.
Un des timbres extraits de ce bloc-feuillet (tarif "1" normalisé NON PRIOR entre 0 et 50g - 0,98€ actuellement à partir de 10 timbres achetés, 1,01€ à l'unité) figure sur le joli pli ci-dessous, avec TAD Premier Jour de Bruxelles du 27 janvier 2020. Merci beaucoup Johan !
The Belgian Post bpost had already issued a stamp in 1987 ("Philately of Youth" series) dedicated to the Belgian comics series (in Flemish), "Spike and Suzy".
On January 25, 2020, the Belgian Post put into circulation (preview sale in Gembloux) an interesting souvenir sheet (2 x 5 stamps) dedicated this time to the 75th anniversary of "Spike and Suzy" ("Suske en Wiske" in Flemish).
The 5 different stamps composing this souvenir sheet, created in collaboration with Standaard Uitgeverij that has been publishing these albums for several decades, evoke the evolution of these two characters over time, through reproductions of emblematic covers.
One of the stamps extracted from this souvenir sheet (tariff "1" normalized NON PRIOR between 0 and 50g - € 0.98 currently from 10 stamps purchased, € 1.01 per unit) was used on the nice cover below, with First Day cancellation from Brussels of January 27, 2020. Thank you very much Johan!
Cette série de bande dessinée "Bob et Bobette" a été créée par Willy Vandersteen (scénario et dessin) en 1945 dans le quotidien "De Nieuwe Standaard" puis "De Standaard" à partir de 1947 où elle paraît jusqu'en 1974, poursuivie après le décès de l'auteur par Paul Geerts, puis Marc Verhaegen et actuellement Peter Van Gucht (scénario) et Luc Morjaeu (dessin).
Le timbre ci-dessus évoque l'album "L'Attrape-sons", par Willy Vandersteen, publié en 1961.
Le TAD Premier Jour évoque un album récent, "Le Dévoreur de planètes" publié en 2017, une couverture également reproduite sur un des timbres de ce feuillet (tirage : 53955) conçu par Kris Maes.
Avec 200 millions d'albums commercialisés, "Bob et Bobette" est l'une des bandes dessinées les plus vendues dans le monde. Cette série est toujours en cours actuellement, avec 350 albums publiés au total.
This comic series "Spike and Suzy" was created by Willy Vandersteen (script and drawing) in 1945 in the daily "De Nieuwe Standaard" then "De Standaard" from 1947 where it appeared until 1974, continued after the death of the author by Paul Geerts, then Marc Verhaegen and currently Peter Van Gucht (script) and Luc Morjaeu (drawing).
